Re: Surrendering Indian Passport and OCI

Hiya, Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, surely that is the next step once I get the certificate. After I get that, I am not sure if there is a service to surrender the existing passport(s) and apply for OCI together.

Re: Tier 2 Dependant to ILR

Also, I am going through other members posts where you have suggested someone to vary the application:

indefinite-leave-to-remain/28-days-shor ... 69063.html

Does 40 days rule not apply in this case? Or I am missing any information. Sorry for being naive.

With regard to the previous comment, I mean to book the appointment within qualification period. Also please note I am applying through standard service, not priority.

Re: Tier 2 Dependant to ILR

Hey Zimba,

Hope you orite. Just to confirm the days you get to submit your documents from the date of application is definitely 40 days right? I am about to submit my wife's application today and then planning to submit documents within 28 days of eligibility. So want to confirm.

Re: Filled Set(M) instead of Set(O) for spouse ILR

@kawal: In other words do not go to next stage - verification stage. Do not submit the documents. It should automatically be cancelled after 45 days and you should get your refund. Also you can make new (fresh) application. Downside is your money will be stucked for 8-10 weeks. But good thing is you ...

Re: Tier 2 Dependant to ILR

Hello Zimba,

Also the date of application will be considered when I complete online application which is before her visa expiry. That bars her from eligibility of ILR (5 years). Please correct me if I am wrong.

Re: Tier 2 Dependant to ILR

Hello Zimba,

Thank you for replying. Please explain briefly. What I understood from ILR procedure is she is eligible to apply on or after 12th of Feb. 2020 (28 days before eligibility period) but her visa is expiring on 18-01-2020. So there is bit confusion.

Logee
