Re: Citizenship after 5 years of ILR

Thanks for all the help. I guess my currently outstanding questions are: - The application both Father and Child applying is AN, correct? As both born outside UK? - Is the reference list OK as in quote below? - What documents we need to provide to prove parental responsibility of the child? Note, d...

Re: Citizenship after 5 years of ILR

Thanks for a prompt response! Mother, Father and Child are on ILR. Mother and Child have ILR for 8 months now. So, in this case we will add Child as another applicant in the father application. For referees: - Father is planning to use details from 1person from work and Head Teacher from Child schoo...

Re: Citizenship after 5 years of ILR

One more question please -

My elder daughter (born outside UK/EU/EEA) have ILR for 8 months now.
Can she apply as part of my application or do we need to wait 4 more months prior to her application?
She has done 5+ years in the UK and her age is under 7 years old.

Re: Citizenship after 5 years of ILR

- Proof of English language (IELTS, the one I used for ILR in 2016) You can only use this if the test and test centre is still on the current UKVI approved list. Thanks! Even if I used the IELTS in a previous successful application, it may not be considered if it is no longer on the list? Is it pos...

Citizenship after 5 years of ILR

My Tier-2 Intra-Company Transfer Visa was granted just before 06-Apr-2010 and I came from India to UK in mid-April 2010. I was not sure if I want ILR, so I did not apply for ILR in 2015. I then applied for ILR in Sep 2016, which was granted. I was not sure if I want citizenship, so I did not apply f...

Re: Citizenship query for family on ILR

It does NOT have to be someone she has worked with professionally. It simply needs to be someone she know with a profession on the list, ie a friend who is a nurse or teacher or even a minister of religion or pharmacist. Thanks for the clarification! She knows a few people from husband's work place...

Re: Citizenship query for family on ILR

By reading other areas, I think I am able to answer some of the questions: Are documents (passport and others) uploaded on an online portal (similar to Sopra Steria for ILR) or are they physically posted ? I see this is same as UKVCAS. I upload scanned copy of documents. What documents will be requi...

Re: Citizenship query for family on ILR

Thanks for confirming that Child 1 cannot apply on their own, have to be with a parent. Since Child-1 and parent have different forms (MN and AN) - can they be put in a single application online? Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

It's reassuring to know there are several of us out there! I'm trying to remind myself that the timelines posted here represent only a tiny fraction of the cases UKVI is processing. UKVI gets around 8000 applications per month from people who migrated from outside EU/EEA for ILR. They have to give ...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

It seems UKVCAS and UKVI have sent out invitations to some of the biometric re-use ILR applicants with date of application until 30-Jul-2020. Most likely they will cover all biometric re-use applicants by end of tomorrow and then move to August applicants from 2nd September. Question 1 - If an ILR a...

For biometric reuse ILR applicants,

Till what date has UKVCAS / UKVI sent out invitations to use the IDV App ?

Last I read was 7th June

I thought UKVCAS will post regular updates this week, but there hasn't been anything in the last three days

Interesting info on IDV from xxxxxxx firm
Is it possible to know what was the info?

I appreciate maintaining rules, but at the same time the intent and purpose of the forum - sharing knowledge and helping others - must be maintained too.
