Fiance Visa Application - A technical question

for a couple applying online for a fiance visa. They never lived together before. At the very last stage they are asked to tick the box to confirm that they can prove that they are 'unmarried partners '(show bank statements, bills etc). But we have none of these. They must tick that box, otherwise c...

Re: 12 month requirement and permanent residency

Thank you this is really helpful! The text below contains an example, however it does not discuss the situation of applying after June 2021 deadline of June 2021 after which the Permanent residence status became invalid. https://www.gov.uk/british-citizenship << If you had permanent residence status...

12 month requirement and permanent residency

I was hoping to hear your opinion about the following matter: A non EU national lived here since 2004 and was able to receive a settled status based on his relationship to an EU member. The EUSS was a late application (was made in 07/2021) and he received his settled status 12/2021. Previously he he...

EUSS family permit - risks of refusal?

Hello, could a refusal of an application for EUSS family permit cause any issues in entering the UK as a visitor of a citizen of a non-visa country? Applying for my parents in law who are non-EU, I was thinking that if their application is refused, they could still come and visit us for 3 months. I ...

Re: Surinder Singh Settled Status Paper Application:

Agree. At times I do feel as if we, BC are being punished for marrying a non eu citizen. I think it shows how much the HO does not like the idea of people using the SS route.I am not sure how many non-eu members using the SS are there at all and I am aware that it has beeing abused.

Re: Surinder Singh Settled Status Paper Application:

The justification given is rubbish. Because even those with PR or a Residence card under EU law, for which no documents needs sending or verified, are having to wait for 6 months. So the notion that documents are being verified for all Surinder Singj applicants and this takes time is simply mostly ...
