Cheers John, that is an interesting point! So, in all, if a person was given 3 points and was asked to pay a fine in the court , then he will have to declare that in the FLR applications as well, and not only in ILR and citizenship forms? So, what happens if somebody did not know this earlier and ha...

Hi fairandsquare, Did you have to declare it earlier on on your FLR applications, when the offense was "not spent" at that at time? or was it not mandatory at that time. I am asking this because the FLR forms these days seem to have that specific column where you will have to declare it, j...

Hi Mahil_2000, You said this: I am naturalised now. I am thinking about getting Right of Abode instead of applying for British Passport. I don't know your nationality, so may be it is possible for you, but for an Indian national, once he naturalises, he is a British citizen. Applying for a British p...

Hi Friend, I suggest you do not travel any more to India from now on until you have seen an Indian criminal lawyer and get some advise as to how to proceed from now on. I have doubts you will be able to get any OCI or PIO to India on your own (unless you hide the criminal offense, which i won't advi...

Hi Indian_in_UK, Something interesting i noted: I just now took a look into various FLR forms and found that you would have had to declare you traffic offence (like speeding, where you had to go to the court to pay the fine), in the FLR forms as well - i.e. whenever you had (in the past) applied for...

So you have WPs, LTRs via 3 companies (in the past 4 years) and HO has been stamping LTRs happily (from time to time for various of those WPs) :-) and now the HO has a letter saying you worked only for one comapny for all 4 years. To sum up, the HO, will have in their office, documents to prove (to ...

I too totally agree that that is the way to proceed now that there is a court date :-), but on a side note (not applicable to the OP) i am worried that this may end up thousands or millions of work permit holders from teh last several decades (who are innocent of course) to end up in UK court cases ...

Hi, From what you have posted originally, it sounds like your ILR was cancelled because you had invalid work permit and you used that as a basis for getting your ILR. But, from your next post it sounds like you had all proper documents and WPs (all possibly valid) and issued by the HO. So, what conf...

Hmm - IN this forum i have seen several threads of posts, where in one of those posts, the HO denied somebody citizenship application right. And it did that on writting as well (shameless). Then after the applicant took the case to court, the HO (shamelesly) agreed that it was their documentaion mis...

I just have to laugh at the HO's claim. I never knew that Work permits could be applied by applicants (employees). It is always an employer who can apply for a WP. Has the HO forgottern their own rule when accusing employees by saying they obtained WPs by deceit! Ha! Ha! Shame on you HO! If the HO i...

Hi John, I think the OP is a settled person here. There is no way for a spouse to be issued with a spouse visa, unless the sponsoring spouse is a settled (ILR holder) in UK or a British citizen. Spouses of WP / HSMP or other time limited categories are only issued a dependant visa, not a spouse visa...

Hi bikerboy, I think whoever quoted you that sum of money to be paid for health care (NHS / GP???) they are cheating you! They are committing a criminal offense here. People on spouse visa are defenitely eligible for the free health care under NHS. Think about this: If spouse visa holders (and the o...

John, I quite agree to what you are saying and that might be possible too. But my concern here is that the HO did write (in return) to the application of a British naturalisation, that he/she was illegal here in the UK, and later on we find they were wrong. Either they just gave away a nationality s...

Hmm - this case also proves that the British govt. and HO do lie to applicants saying they were illegal (and that too in writting) and once that applicant takes them to court/judicial review or whatever it is called, they will happily accept that they (the HO) were wrong or were lying all that time,...

My question is this: Don't mistake me on this. I am just asking out of curiosity and concern for all immigrants here: If an HSMP candidate is really "Highly skilled", then why not just think of all other alternative places that your skill can take you. i.e. any other country which welcomes...

You would be very silly indeed to confess to a crime that no-one knows you committed. I agree to what you say Dawie, but keep in mind that his Indian passport would have been stamped on his entry and exit and ther eis evidence that he had violated the Indian law. He can hid it now and maybe success...

Hi Suza, quite frankly, i think by travelling on your Indian passport to enter India after getting your British citizenship, a criminal offense has already been comitted. There maybe implications for this. At least, when you apply for the OCI, you may want to declare this??/ I am not sure about this...

it means i fly to india on my indian passport and then in india surrender it and apply for OCI. is this allowed?? That will be Illegal , so don't even think about it! Your Indian passport is now invalid. If you can wait for 2-3 weeks, i guess you could apply for a PIO card and then fly to India. If...

Once they have tasted that truth/reality, then automatically the British govt. and peo...
