Re: Traveling on non-UK passport after becoming a UK citizen

Re: Traveling on non-UK passport after becoming a UK citizen

As per my understanding, one cannot enter the UK using BRP or a certificate of British citizenship. Please see https://www.gov.uk/apply-citizenship-in ... ertificate. The only options are a Passport or the Right to Abode.

Re: Elgibility to apply for ILR as dependent

Good news that AR has been successful! The case has been sent back to the original case working team. It says that there was an error because the case working team failed to ask for additional evidence. We do not know what does it means or what would be the impact on reconsideration of the applicati...

Re: Elgibility to apply for ILR as dependent

Thank you so much @Vinny for such a detailed response. Yes, she applied for all extensions in time and there were no absences that would break the continuous residency. In fact, all absences are way less than 180 days limit. When she applied for ILR, choose the "Tier 1 or Appendix W dependents&...

Re: Elgibility to apply for ILR as dependent

Thank you @Zimba. So it does not make a difference if she was on Tier 4 for a while? Because this switch had broken continuous residency for my friend and he had to complete three years and apply under the accelerated route.
