Re: My 16 year old UK born Daughter application

Your 16 year old daughter is almost certainly not a British citizen and therefore cannot apply directly for a British passport. For your daughter (and your 19 year old son as well) to have been born a British citizen by birth in the UK, either one of her parents would have to have settled status (e...

Re: My 16 year old UK born Daughter application

Only British citizens can apply for a passport. On what basis is your daughter a British citizen? What UK status did her mum have at the time of birth? Registration and Naturalisation require separate applications and fees are payable. Refer to the links below for the official guidance: https://www...

Re: Applying British passport for my kids born in the UK

Thank you ever so much for your replies! @ Secret Simon " From the OP's post, it appears to me that he is assuming that the mother has permanent residence because she has resided in the UK since the 1990s, whereas mere continuous residence in the UK has never conferred a permanent residence sta...

Re: Change of citizenship ceremony location

Thanks to everyone for their reply! How long will it take once I contacted the HO and council? Is that the standard for people to wait for months for a ceremony? I might just sit tight and wait for the 5th of February as I cannot afford to part with another £325 on top of my application fee. Thanks ...

Re: Uploading my documents

Thanks aman90,

My question was what are the options to avoid using ukvcas? For example use the post office for my biometric or a lawyer to check my documents.

Thanks again!
