Thanks, It took us 14 weeks to get EU dependent visa,

its taking 5 to 6 months for such visa category.

I can't comment on which option to use, but I can update you that our applications were in Karachi consulate for 6 weeks. We submitted application throughly vfs Islamabad.

I had the same question and I have been answered that "Yes you can apply on STamp 4 as long as you have concrete evidence of proving your move to UK i.e. reasons including your centre of life move to Ireland ...
