Refusing BC application

Hi everyone, Just about launched my BC application, but I'm told by the NCS guys that it's likely to be refused. The reason is that the HO sentenced me to 4 months jail on arrival at the airport, just two hours after I had my first asylum interview at the airport some years ago. the charge was not h...

Re: conviction & the 10 yrs period for naturalization

thanks noajthan, I already went through this, but it's not that very help, to be honest with you. Cuz it does state that an applicant with a conviction is normally to get his BC application refused by the HO on the ground of not satisfying the good character requirement. However, the changes in the ...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Pro

So, this means I've got to have my application checked by the NCS on the date I have to submit
it to the HO, and post it on the same day or after? right?

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Pro

Hi everyone I should send my naturalization application in Jan/2017, but someone told me that I can complete my application using the NCS and keep it with them some thing up to 3 months before the date I have to send my application to the HO, so that means I can do it in November, and then the NCS t...

Re: Born-abroad child w/o ILR - MN1 3(1) refused

I think I got it now. Thanks BD & Casa. Really appreciate it. TBH, I'm still hopeful though that other people, who might have been in the same situation and perhaps got different information & experience and hence used different avenue, can give some useful insights here! Cuz it seems to me ...

Re: Born-abroad child w/o ILR - MN1 3(1) refused

Hi BD, thank you so much. I'm applying for citizenship in 9 months time. So, are you telling me to wait until I become a BC and then apply for my baby? Or apply simultaneously for him by including him on my BC application? And if so, will I have to be earning £18,600 by then or no need for it any mo...

Re: SET (Protection) Route applications

Mahm It's true that it sometimes works well. However, It's still a risk I wouldn't probably like to take, because it's all about the HO rather vague "discretion " !! I mean I I might send my application in with the relatively high fee of about £900, and then wait for unknown period, perhap...

Re: SET (Protection) Route applications

Hi Mahm True there is a bright side for the ' agonizing ' wait. However, he can count for the one year after the ILR for the naturalization ONLY from the date on which the decision of the ILR itself was made by the HO. So, if the HO shelved the application for processing and they made a decision say...

Re: SET (Protection) Route applications

Hi aistar I know yeah. It really can be frustrating, especially when all your life comes to a halt, cuz of this process, and you may miss out some great opportunities !! The problem is that the guys at the HO don't bother actually to take it more seriously, and realize that there is sometimes a lot ...

Re: SET (Protection) Route applications

Hi m Thanks for your input. I think you are right. However, it seems ILR (protection route) applications have no fixed pattern ! It varies from one applicant to another depending on a number of factors. But, generally speaking, it seems that the biometric letter and enrollment is just like the begin...

Re: SET (Protection) Route applications

Hi guys I'm new to this forum. Seems 90% of applicants receive their biometric letter within a month or less after posting their application, which is good news really. However, it's been almost 10 weeks since I sent my application, but received nothing, even no acknowledgement letter or email!! And...
