My extension is due in july 2016, i may apply earlier as well if new rules coming in december may make it difficult next year... Based on my research u can apply anytime for extension, but keep salary in mind...

What do you mean by same employer and same soc but different job ?

For example, you work for microsoft you were a developer, you are still a developer in same company, why need to reapply ?
