Re: Set(O) or Set(M)?

Looks like she switched from Tier 1 dependent to partner visa, which means she may have reset her ILR clock. Do list her visa start/end dates for last 5+ years and visa categories and forum members can confirm the next steps. She first came to the UK on a student visa, in 2014. November 2015 she wa...

Re: Set(O) or Set(M)?

Her most recent leave to remain would have been granted as partner of a British citizen

Set(O) or Set(M)?

Hi - my wife is looking to settle / apply for ILR on the 5yr route. Her current leave to remain is as the partner of a settled person (me - I became a British citizen before her last leave to remain was granted). This would indicate that she should apply using form Set(M)? However the gov.uk website...

ILR (SET(M)) or FLR(M)?

Hello, I am a British citizen (with help from this board) and my wife is here as my dependant (on the 5 year route, also with help from this board). We have now passed the 60 month mark, and her second visa extension is about to expire. Ordinarily, there would be no questio that she should now apply...

Premium service center not available in time?

My wife's leave to remain expires 8th of June. The only premium service center where we can apply for the 1-day process is in Glasgow, and the earliest available appointment is 18th June. Is she legally covered if she submits her online application today, but makes an appointment for that date, as u...

Spouse visa extension query - proof of residence?

With regards to the evidence for the last two years of residence, the guidance states that they require 6 pieces of correspondence in the joint name of the applicant and the spouse. In my wife and myself's case, we had three different residences in the last 2 years - are we expected to provide 6 pie...

Re: What counts as evidence of Foregin earnings?

yes, the dates in the letter and the bank statement would match, with maybe one or two days for clearing. However the bank statement would show the correct amount and correct date, but as a CHEQUE deposit. I was paid with Cheques, not a bank transfer.

Re: What counts as evidence of Foregin earnings?

The bank statement I do have, and the letter from the employer - in all honesty, I'm not on the greatest terms with them, given that I left due to huge delays in payment of salaries (and not just for me, for everyone in the company). I can ask for it, and see how they respond - but regarding the act...

Re: What counts as evidence of Foregin earnings?

I was afraid of that. When you say a letter, would a letter dated from now be sufficient, as opposed to a contract dated from the start of our agreement? Also, re. payslips - this company does not have systems in place to issue or print out payslips. It was one of my tasks to implement such a system...

What counts as evidence of Foregin earnings?

I am a naturalised UK Citizen (with much help from this board, so thanks!) and married my wife in the UK, and got her residency here (also with help from some lovely people here!). For professional reasons (I got a better offer) I moved abroad with her (to Dubai) in late 2016. We are now moving back...

Re: Not meeting good character req. due to Penalty Charge??

Thanks for the quick reply. I guess I have to do that. The other consideration is that I was in a rented car at the time of the violation. I do have an email from the rental company informing me of the violation, and a copy of the PCN that was sent to them (which they then redirected to me). Is the...

Not meeting good character req. due to Penalty Charge??

I've applied for Naturalisation, sent in the form in September using the local council's Nationality Checking Service ("NCS"). In the form, on the advice of the NCS lady, I mentioned a Penalty Charge Notice for a traffic violation that had occured in May 2015. In November, the caseworker w...

Re: Newlyweds who have not cohabitated for 2 years - No FLR(

Thanks for the quick reply Associated question, most of our photos with each other are taken on the phone - are these acceptable as evidence, if we print them out? Is there any way (or any need) to show the EXIF metadata (which shows what date the picture was taken, the location, the phone model use...

Newlyweds who have not cohabitated for 2 years - No FLR(M)?

Hi guys, My fiancee and I are getting married on Monday. She is here on a Tier 4 student visa and we want to switch her from that to a dependent visa (I recently got my ILR). Looking at the FLR(M) form, it seems to indicate that she can only apply in-country as my dependent if we've lived together f...

Re: Dependent visa for recent ILR - FLR(M) or Dependent on P

As you already have ILR, FLR(M) is correct, assuming that all the requirements under Appendix FM - SE , etc., are met. This includes the requirement that her current leave should have been granted for a period exceeding six months. Thanks vinny - her Tier 4 visa was granted from September 2014, so ...

Dependent visa for recent ILR - FLR(M) or Dependent on PBS?

I recently got my ILR using the advice on this forum (many thanks!), after having originally come to the UK on a Tier 1 General visa. My fiancee is here on a Tier 4 Student Visa, expiring 31st of January 2016 (less than 6 months). We are getting married in the first week of November (the HO determin...
