Do VFS office send out separate email for collection of passport/application once the application is processed from Home office?

they will ring or text you when documents are ready to colect

hi i submitted online application 14/08/15 and my wife submitted documents at jalandhar office on the 9/09/15 we haven't heard anything is there anyway i can check progress of the application
