Re: Tax Update

HMRC is sleeping on everyone's paperwork. I am sick and tired of calling them. The advisors on the phone dont even have basic understanding of rules and compliance. Everytime you will get different date and different information. Why not pay them a visit with a personalized cake from Harrods and som...

If your director of Limited Company then why you need to submit self assessment? You have submitted your company accounts.

I dont know why HMRC asking for your SA302 , unless there are pieces of information you havent shared with us yet.

Re: SET(LR) - Self-Assessment discrepancies

If your accountant has done the calculations then just call HMRC and make the payment. Your account will be in credit and when HMRC update their system all will be adjusted towards the amount owe. How important to pay it in full? Is committing to pay not enough? How would you prove to UKVI that you...

Re: ILR applyed on tier 1 Home offe asking last 5 years sa30

When I called HMRC , even the supervisor said SA302 will be updated with calculations. I find it silly when SA302 not updated when tax amount is. There is no law or rule stated that SA302 shouldnt be updated. Its on the discretion of the HMRC. I will send a letter through barrister if they didnt upd...

Re: ILR applyed on tier 1 Home offe asking last 5 years sa30

If anyone making ILR application on 10 year basis and his/her last 5 years were Tier 1 General or mix of Tier1/Tier2 .. UKBA will ask for this tax history. They just want to collect money people didnt give them in last five years  .... There are hundreds of people in same boat. When you will ma...

Re: ILR applyed on tier 1 Home offe asking last 5 years sa30

Its not UKBA place to say anything about your tax affairs.

Accounting errors , loss in business, mistakes while filing return etc anything could happen.

Once you have sent your amended returns to HMRC , UKBA cant refuse you on any basis.

I sent my amendments in Aug and still waiting.

Re: ILR applyed on tier 1 Home offe asking last 5 years sa30

withdrawing application will be waste of money honestly because you have your returns amended until March may be ... I would suggest call HMRC and ask them to send you a letter stating that your returns are under process and SA302 will be updated once its all done. Then get a letter from your accoun...

Re: Underpayment of tax

Simple solution is Call HMRC tomorrow tell them you want to pay all the tax owe now on the phone and dont want them to adjust it to next financial year. They will take the payment from you.

Nothing to worry about this.

Re: SET(LR) - Self-Assessment discrepancies

I went to Liverpool for ILR (LR) Premium Service . I got Tier 1 (General) visa on 2010 and renewed on 2012. I have discrepancies on the document I sent to HO in 2012 and HMRC self-assessment. They asked me to come for an interview on next week with all my self-assessment documents. I am resubmittin...
