Re: VISA for sister

You have to answer honestly because if UKVI check and find she has lied on the form the visa will be refused and likely a ban imposed on her too.

Your baby is too cute! :D Forms that need to be completed are the VAF4A (online form) and Appendix 2 ( needs printing and completing by hand.) https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/application-for-uk-visa-for-family-settlement-form-vaf4a I would advise you not to delay as it seems T May and co ...

You meet the financial requirement, UKVI aren't concerned with your outgoings etc just as as you earn more than £18,600 pa.

Re: Help needed

You can combine incomes or just use hubby's if it meets the threshold. No effect on his visa if you are studying, it's only the initial entry clearance visa that requires the sponsors income.

Ask the bank to print them for you. Halifax did this for us and on the statements were the words "printed in branch". These were accepted for our application.

Re: Grandfather born in NI

It refers to the whole of Ireland, North and South. Your grandfather's child, your mum or dad, would also be an Irish citizen and you should be able to register on the FBR if you can supply the documentation required.

Your father would be an Irish citizen automatically unless he was born in a country that forbids dual citizenship.

Re: Recommend me a good Solicitor for UK spouse visa applica

Having representation doesn't guarantee you will be successful either, it's all about meeting the criteria and proving it. As others have said, use this forum, it helped me and hubby no end and our application wasn't straightforward.

Re: Error in Spouse visa application after payment

I would handwrite his arrival date on the paper copy of the form. I believe the application is not counted as submitted until biometrics are taken and all evidence is submitted.

Re: Migrating to the UK through marriage

Something else to figure in is that if you come to the UK with the intention of marrying here you have to provide evidence of the intention to marry which has to be within 6 months of arriving. Following the marriage you have switch to FLR(M) for 2.5 years and renew the FLR(M) for a further 2.5 year...

Re: Migrating to the UK through marriage

It takes 5 years to be eligible to apply for ILR under the family of a settled person route. I think the 2 year option only applies to those who applied before July 2012 when there was a rule change. If you dont intend to settle in UK then why worry about ILR? My understanding is that the status is ...

For the sake of £3, I would get a more recent copy. (At the time we applied I had bought my house 20 yrs previously so we erred on the side of caution.)

Re: Help with Application Question (UKVI Spousal)

Hubby also left voluntarily and when we applied for his spouse visa we answered yes for both questions and just added a small note in the space available underneath to explain. It's poorly worded but we gave as much info as possible to be as upfront as we could, your wife may have paperwork with a H...

Re: FLR (M)

Although he can't yet vote, I would return the form with a covering letter mentioning his nationality otherwise you will likely keep getting letters. If people are invited to register and don't do so they can be fined. Worth the price of a stamp to save the hassle.

Also worth mentioning that we have another child, but she is actually british. Do I need to mention her in the application? I guess not but It is kind of weird. Boy was born in 2011 whilst we were outside UK, and girl was born here in the UK. Are you sure your daughter is British? As I understand i...

Re: Priority visa service question

Sounds like you have applied for a marriage visit visa? This would allow your wife to come to the UK for 6 months to marry you and she would have to leave after 6 months. It is a non-settlement visa. https://www.gov.uk/marriage-visa You should apply for the "join family of a settled person"...

Re: Possible over stayer applying for spouse visa

Yes the visa waiver scheme just means that you're from a country whose nationals don't need to apply beforehand. Your passport was likely stamped with a visitor visa for a validity of 6 months, after that 6 months you are technically overstaying as your RC applications have been refused. As hubby ca...
