Re: FLR (fp) as parent of British Child

Sorry, I have to ask why you are applying for a visa that you have been advised you don't meet the criteria for?

Re: Citizenship by descent of great grandparent

My understanding is that your father could register but for him to pass it on to you he would have had to have registered before you were born.

Re: Family of settled person visa (spousal) - Length apart?

After entering UK on a fiancee visa you would have 6 months to get married. Once wed, your wife would apply for the FLR(M) visa from within the UK. I believe there is an option to apply for same day service so no waiting for a decision. She would need a further renewal after 2.5 years to make a tota...

No requirement to have a healthy balance as long as you can demonstrate earnings over the threshold.

Re: Must leave for uk 30days max

Your sister would have had to specify a date that she intended to travel to the UK as part of her application. Her entry clearance visa in her passport will be valid for only 30 days, she should check what date it is valid from.

Re: Fiance visa

Halifax were great to be fair, they printed the statements off in branch which has the added authenticity of stating "printed in branch" on the statements even before they are verified.

Re: Fiance visa

Can you pop into a local branch of your bank and ask them to print them there for you?~ They can also stamp and sign them at the same time (we submitted this kind and they were accepted for our spouse visa). Not sure you need the P60 if you have the verified payslips, but if submitting it, I would s...

When we paid our IHS recently we got the same email as you first then a second one literally one minute later. The second email confirmed our IHS reference number which was the same as the payment reference number. Have you checked your junk mail?

Re: Appeal - can people travel?

She probably means collection of the British residence permit (BRP) which is collected after arriving in the UK. You would have selected a post office from which to collect it during the application process. This information is included in a letter which is returned with the passport and documents n...

Re: Applying for spouse visa help, plus some questions

1. You need to provide wage slips and bank statements for the 6 months before the visa application and these need to show an earning of £18,600 pa. 2. I dont think there is a limit on holidays, but you may be asked to explain long absences. Wait for someone with more experience to clarify. https://w...

Re: FLR after Spouse visa - financial requirement questions!

If the child's mother is British then so is the child so the income requirement is £18,600. The wife's income can be used as well and proof of earnings- wage slips and bank statements-need to be submitted for the 6 months prior to the application. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/applicati...

Yes we had a similar email the same day as being told we needed to wait a further 5 days, the email was only sent after we made an enquiry. If we hadn't enquired I don't think they would have informed us. Try not to overthink, the waiting is the worst part. Good luck and keep us posted. Edit: Yes hu...

Re: Decision Made

Its unlikely it was waiting to be looked at 24 hours ago. We had similar fun and games with the "helpline", even being told by one genius that we had to wait "5 more days" when in.fact the visa had been processed and was on its way. They are notorious for making it up as they go ...

Re: Family of a Settled Person Visa - Proof of accommodation

No real need for an address but you can use the one of the centre you are sending it to if you like. You should address it to "To whom it may concern".

Try contacting local estate agents for an inspection report.

Re: Overstay and ILR

Thank you CR001, we are probably going to wait the 10 years before applying for his citizenship as it seems doomed to fail due to the overstay. With regards to ILR, assuming the rules change and hubby wouldn't be eligible after 5 years, would we just apply via FLR(M) until he hits 10 years legal res...

Overstay and ILR

Hi all, Hopefully some straightforward questions with regards to hubby's future ILR/citizenship. Quick background: I am a UK citizen, hubby is from NZ. He is currently here on a spouse visa, entered in Sept 2016. In 2015 he overstayed a visitor visa by 3 months, was detained and bought his own ticke...

Re: Meeting Income Requirements Spouse Visa

My understanding is that you can use your husband's employment in USA along with a confirmed job offer in UK demonstrating earnings over the threshold - £18,600 if applying as a couple.
