Re: Proof of home ownership: Online extract or official copy

Thanks CR001. But I am keen out of curiosity to know how do HO verify that the actual number of rooms and other residents stated on form is true? Do people submit a floor plan?

If not then can't people just fib on the form (with the obv risk that if somehow caught then you are toast!)?

Re: Proof of home ownership: Online extract or official copy

Forgot to add: On the form it asks how many rooms in the house and who else lives there so what proof does one give for that and how to show actual floor plan etc? Otherwise everyone can just 'lie' and say that it's got X many rooms and no one else lives there. How do the UKVI guys verify actual flo...

Proof of home ownership: Online extract or official copy?

Hello, I am trying to get my home ownership documents ready for my FLR(M) application in Feb and have come across some confusing info. regarding the title register to submit as part of my application. I have an official copy (3-4 pages that say "official copy") of the title register and pl...

Re: FLR (M) - Form Completion

And I am guessing that for any first time applicants switching to a spouse visa IN-COUNTRY from any other category (e.g. Tier 2) would select YES for 2.2 and "You are making a first application from within the UK but have not previously had leave to enter/remain as a partner." for 2.3?

Re: ILR 10 years - spouse visa

I saw a TV show on immigration where a solicitor mentioned that he has seen conflicting cases where UKVI has granted 10 year LR dependents ILR and in some cases told them to go under the 5 year spouse route as the moderators here also point out. It seems to be a bit unclear and random. I remember he...

Re: Petition to sign over high minimum income requirement

Well it's purely subjective. 18.6k is still much lesser than the average UK salary and peanuts in London/South East! On one side you can say it's not fair that the "rich" have the freedom to do whatever but then again the risks to the taxpayer must be mitigated. That said, the EEA/SS migra...

Just restart another form as you have not paid yet. All your applications can be accessed via the "My Account" button on top right.

Got my answer. You either need to ask for refund during your PSC appointment or email: pscappointmentrefunds@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

Re: Health Surcharge Re-use or refund process

Anyone? What if I now don't want to make an application at all and want my IHS money back? I paid IHS while booking PEO appointment online and not via the IHS portal. Why would they make this so hard and almost seem like robbery?!

Re: Health Surcharge Re-use or refund process

Right OK, so I don't need to add her name while booking appointment and just take her along on the day to PEO and they will let her in. I have already paid this £500 and have an IHS number but this is associated with the form in which I mistakenly added her as dependant so it is telling me to pay £2...

Health Surcharge Re-use or refund process

Hello, I was trying to book a FLR(M) PEO appointment online. The layout is quite unintuitive and so in error I added my future wife (a British citizen) as my dependent (instead of sponsor) for my application as she would be attending the appointment with me on the day I book slot. I then paid the IH...

Re: Tier 4 to Tier 2 and now FLR(M)?

Umm are they exclusive or unrelated? I'm not sure. My spouse current earns £30k (permanent salaried) and has been earning above £27k since last July. We will apply in Feb. So if we use min 18.6k income do they still calculate based on net income after maintenance costs etc? My current rent+mortgage ...

Re: Tier 4 to Tier 2 and now FLR(M)?

Right OK. Just wanted to ensure :) One last question related to adequate maintenance funds this time. Even if a couple (or one of them) earn above the £18,600 threshold does the ECO calculate how much net income available each month and how much if left after mortgage and rent and bills etc based on...

Anyone who can shed any light on the above concerns please? You may have experience of such cases based on new marriages.

Thanks!

Re: Tier 4 to Tier 2 and now FLR(M)?

I will be in the exact same position and will be applying for FLR(M) just a few days after my wedding in Feb. So while I will say we are now living together and put my sponsor's address same as mine (we will live in my flat), would we need to show evidence of this move? If so, how since it would onl...

Re: Adequate accommodation requirement for spouse visa

Unless HO issues a curtailment notice, there is no "leave curtailment period". So to clarify I mean the period after one receives curtailment letter. My work ends at end of Dec and most prob I will have received my curtailment letter by Feb which is when I will marry and apply for spouse ...

Spouse visa - FLR(M) form query

Regarding co-habitation requirement, is this required only for subsisting marriages (i.e. ones that have happened a while ago) or also to prove new marriages? And is it required on first time FLR(M) applications? I will marry my fiancé in Feb but we will only move in together officially after that. ...

Re: Adequate accommodation requirement for spouse visa

HAHAHA! OMG thank God! I nearly peed my pants! Think I did actually. So yes, I can switch to ILR upon 10 years legal stay while on FLR(M) for last few months. I didn't know about the citizenship thing. So I don't need to stay on ILR 11 months as people normally have to before citizenship? Also, does...

Re: Adequate accommodation requirement for spouse visa

WHAT?! Switching to a spouse visa resets my 10 year ILR clock?? Are you sure? I thought for the 10 year route you must be in a legal category (any category) and must not have been out of the country for over a certain period! Please can you confirm or guide me to where this is stated or any case exa...

Re: Adequate accommodation requirement for spouse visa

Thanks very much for the prompt responses :) I have done my bachelors and masters degrees in the UK and been here for over 9 years now. 7 months away from ILR in 10 year route. So I think language part should be OK? Also, regarding my flat. It is on a shared ownership scheme i.e. pay a mortgage on b...

Hello, I will marry my British fiance in Feb in a civil ceremony in UK and subsequently make a spouse visa application. We have already received the "no objection or investigation" letter from HO Liverpool. Q1.) She earns over £30k so meets the £18,600 requirement but what about the adequa...

Re: Can I switch from Tier 2 (Gen) to Tier 4?

Hello, I have a situation update and a question to ask. I have now got a firm offer for the MBA and just need to pay the fees to obtain the CAS. But before this I want to understand what would/could happen if my student visa is rejected by chance. I will apply for a premium appointment before Dec en...
