Re: JCAP do not send payslip or p60...is it ok?

I just find it quite hilarious how the moderators (esp. Noajithan) are so hung up on terminology for UKBA/UKVI/HO as most people don't follow these "skin deep" changes in names of essentially the same, still unfit for purpose public department. You know if people mention UKBA they mean UK...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Pro

**ANXIETY** It took me nearly 10 months to get ILR approval. I am so anxious lately about the AN application. In the last week I wait and hope for that brown envelope and even though I know it's a little bit early (my application was received 26th October) I still feel awfully anxious that I may be...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Pro

Hello everyone, just a little update. Yesterday I spoke to the Home Office helpline and got told they could not look into my file because 6 months have not passed yet. I asked how I could find out if a letter got lost and the gentleman said I would receive a letter from the Home Office informing me...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Pro

With regards to the question what happens if the letter gets lost in the post it's been said here that one is supposed to call the council as they have confirmation of approval. Be aware that this is not the case for every council. This is only the case for councils who get in touch with YOU about ...

Sheesh, talk about being stingy! Can't even "splurge" out on 1st class for all that cash they take haha  OK, so my main question/worry is what happens if say this letter somehow gets lost in post (its happened to my few times)? Do we keep waiting and months/years pass or somehow the...

Mods: Not sure what's the difference between this thread and general discussion so posting in both on purpose. All, I know it's a waiting game with loads of patience needed but just wondering that how do we get the approval acknowledgement: letter or email from HO or from NCS or both? What happens ...

Re: ILR 10 Year Absence Rule

The list of documents for 10 year ILR is nothing compared to all the work/tax/leave related info needed for 5 year routes! Just need your passports and KoLL docs as long as you meet other absence/residence requirements. Easy!

Re: ILR Granted refund of NHS Surcharge

Hi mate, hmm that's definitely different then! Another example of random inconsistency. Hard to say which case is correct tbh it could be that I got really lucky as the person refunding didn't check my history. Perhaps email them fresh again with all details and just saying PSC staff said to email t...

No need for any copies. I never submitted any and was never asked or any issues. If they need copies they can take it themselves.

Re: photocopies required?

I never took photocopies for any of my in-person appointments on purpose and it shouldn't matter nor was I asked if I had any.

For what crazy sums we pay the jobsworths can at least take a few copies themselves if needed + save the planet etc.

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Pro

Re: Losing Job just before Eligible for ILR

Yes but it's very easy to get a letter like that signed by a manager or via central HR in big companies saying you're needed for foreseeable future as there is no definition for foreseeable and things can change overnight in private firms. If OP can source such a letter (ignoring the morality etc.) ...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Pro

All, I have a question re my NCS/JCAP application sent on 15/10. As I applied on basis of 3 year residency (married to a Brit) my entire qualifying period and related absences were covered on my current (2nd) passport issued in Aug 2012. The NCS lady only took copies of this passport and didn't tou...
