I finally got my ref. #. I was told by the lady the case is assigned to caseworker and will take 25 days, and 70 days if further processing requires. I dont recommend you to call HomeOffice urself because if your consultant comes to know abt this,he/she will definately loose trust in you and this is going to hamper ur relationship in the long run. My lawyer submitted my application on 26th July and when she contacted HO today to inquire about ref number they told her that HO is experiencing delays while entereing data in the database and would be able to allocate a reference number after 1-2 weeks!

Has anyone being told the same by HO? :roll:

There is a section in this post which has posted the case worker's manuals. I wil suggest you get those manuals and read them thoroughly and then draft your own letters. I had spent around 3 hours on my first letter after reading that manual!

I think it is a very rare case when HO call the employer. My experience is mostly with indian companies. But haven't heard of a call from HO ( for my WP changes or of my friends.
