Re: Previous Addresses (Form AN) 3yr Spouse Route

When I applied via NCS, he told me as I'm applying get as Spouse of a BC, only 3 years address is required not 5. Therefore all I provided was 3 years and was approved.

Re: Citizenship - Queries if qualifying

If I were you, I'd declare it all in the further information box.
Mention you have obtained a copy of your SAR from them and it shows xxx...

Then explain.

You MAY get a more fair caseworker who will be more lenient for your honesty. You may not, however.

Good Luck.

Re: Naturalisation 10 year ban paragraph 320 B

Personally I think that if it was an issue she wouldn't have been granted Spouse visa and subsequently ILR.

Maybe for visiting purposes the 10 year ban still applies but since the point of obtaining the spouse visa followed by ILR is Settlement ... maybe there's a difference!

Re: Naturalisation application for wife

See last post of this topic . Thanks for this. I remember seeing this list before. So according to post, would you agree that she should be included in exempt category as she got ILR in February 2015 i.e. After October 2013? Also do you know if there is any maintainence requirement? For how long? A...

Re: Translating document for British Passport

As long as it's a certified translation it should be fine.
I had my marriage certificate translated the embassy of the country where I married and it was accepted no problem.

Re: Naturalisation application for wife

She should be okay to use the certificate she had providing you tick the correct box in the AN form. But Be prepared they may request she do another so if I was in your situation Id do another test and submit new one to reduce any delay. Yes it's more cost involved but it's worth every penny if your...

Re: Delivery of British passport and supporting documents

When my brother got his a few months back, he paid £3 extra but his passport and documents came together and it was via DX.

I believe if you don't pay the £3 supporting documents come by Royal Mail Second class post and passport comes via DX

Re: Naturalisation application for wife

And finally just to clarify, say if I want to apply for naturalisation on 20 jan 2016, I need to ensure that I was in the country on 20 jan 2011. If not, then I'd have to wait for the day when I returned and count 5 years from there on? Correct- Secondly, I did a degree from UK, do you think it will...

UK passport App

Hello,

Is it possible that my friend who is a cardiologist can countersign my UK passport application? She would just put down she's a doctor and my friend.

Is this acceptable?

Re: Naturalisation application for wife

Suggest your wife completes a full 5 years.

Anything less would likely end up in refusal as her qualifying period is 5 years.
If you were British citizen then it would be a different story but you both need to complete a full 5 years before applying for citizenship.

Re: Application rejected

There is no time frame for reconsiderations.
It takes as long as it takes.
The fact they have provided you with a receipt for the £80 MAY mean that they MAY accept it but if not then you don't get the £80 back.

You will hear from HO when they're ready..Just carry on as normal :)

Re: English language exemption, ILR after Oct 2013?

Personally I'd suggest doing a new language test since yours is from 2008. If it was more recent like 2013 onwards then may be but its 7 years old.
