Thanks for the response.

I am still in relationship with the child's mum, however she still lives with her parents, we have never had the same address or lived together, does this change things in anyway?

Route to ILR

Hi, I am currently almost 3 years into a Tier 2 General, due to be renewed later this year. I am also eligible for the Family route (I have a kid who is british but not married), I confunsed on whether to switch routes when renewing or just continue on the Tier 2 for 2 more years then apply for ILR....

Leave to remain has now been granted, even though the period was reduced from 5 to 3 years (Everything else stayed the same) but used premium service.
