Re: Good character requirement&past trouble with tube fares

Amber - I did not quite understand. What do you mean by "depending on who issued it to you".

It was an out of court disposal I suppose and I paid specific amount to TFL and my matter did not go to court.

Re: Good character requirement&past trouble with tube fares

Amber : this is the text I copied from your earlier post few years ago. Q5 - FPN A FPN (often given for minor motoring offences such as speeding) is not a conviction and will not be grounds for refusal unless the applicant has received numerous FPNs in the last 12 months. Therefore, you should wait ...

Re: Good character requirement&past trouble with tube fares

Thank you for these links. I have read them. It seems my incident in the past was 'an out of court disposal'. My employer carried out a criminal check before he employed me and it was clean, therefore I suspect that my record is clean (it should be as it did not go to court). Yes I have had the bigg...

Re: Naturalisation - 12 month period - Perm.Resid. - EU nati

Thank you for explaining I understand, if an individual is non-eu then he/she must wait for 12 months, but in my case as I am eu national , i do not necessary have to wait for those 12 months to pass..? is that correct..? When I read the naturalisation booklet, I did not take into account the fact t...

Re: Naturalisation - 12 month period - Perm.Resid. - EU nati

Ohara - Are you married to or in the civil partnership with a British citizen? If not, then you need to wait 12 months before applying for the naturalisation after you have received PR. P. 10 of Naturalisation Booklet " But remember that, unless you are married to or the civil partner of a Brit...

Re: Naturalisation - 12 month period - Perm.Resid. - EU nati

Ohara -

oh thats interesting! I no longer have to exercise treaty rights if I already hold PR.

But when applying for the naturalisation i only have to prove that I have been present in the UK for those 12 months after receiving the PR.

Re: Comprehensive Sickness insurance

I have understood from the forum, that PR is merely a confirmation of your permanent residence and the 12 month cycle will start when its legally issued. For example, my mom, she acquired her permanent residence few years before she actually got her actual PR document and the date on the document wa...
