Have a day or two off, drive down there and get your certificate. :)
It's disheartening that this is probably the quickest and easiest way to do it

Re: Change of circumstances

For address change with UKVI you can use this website: https://visa-address-update.service.gov.uk For address change with HMPO you will need to write a letter with a proof of the new address (either google this or call them) I would then also recommend setting up Royal Mail Redirection to make sure ...

Are Europeans getting citizenship faster than non european?
I'd be inclined to say no, more like people who apply by Post seem to be getting their decision faster.
I'm EEA waiting for almost 5 months now.

Re: Check the status of your application online - New service

Home Office are working closely together with GCHQ and from your username, ip etc they work out who you are and then they delay processing your application by a week every time you complain about them so be careful. If you do not have an official source for this information, please stop posting non...

Re: Check the status of your application online - New service

Hi guys and girls, after my analysis, I can say that those who applied in JAN,FEB,MARCH,APRIL 2017 have got their decisions as no one is debating here. NOW, I think HOME OFFICE is dealing with those who applied in MAY and JUNE. BUT, why is it taking longer then when we know that in 240 CASE WORKERS...

Re: Joint Passport application - A few questions

You should have received a set of instructions when you booked your appointment. Here is the set of instruction from the Norfolk Council (I didn't apply there but I got the same instructions from my council): https://www.norfolk.gov.uk/births-ceremonies-and-deaths/british-citizenship/nationality-che...

Oh do you think? Do you think I'll hear from them by the end of October?
I have no idea how long it will take, I would hope so, from my personal experience I applied mid-May and I thought it would be done by the end of September, but it does not seem likely.

Re: Can one default affect my application?

t seems that most people hear back from HO within three months. This is not the case anymore, look at the May thread ( https://www.immigrationboards.com/british-citizenship/may-2017-naturalisation-timelines-only-t232477.html ), some people who applied in early May are only just getting their respon...

Re: Check the status of your application online - New service

MMST - Managed Migration Support Team I would assume (with absolutely no evidence to base this on) that the queue number relates to the category of your application, with things like whether your application is EEA or ILR, married to BC etc factors in determining which queue you should be in. Anothe...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

It's taking longer because the number of applications is much higher than before which created a backlog. Look at the timelines, people from late April are still getting their decisions, but few people who made their applications in early May are starting to get theirs. The few people that got their...

I've been wondering the same thing. I've seen some people who applied on the 25th of May received their letters and passports already. We applied on the 2nd of May for my 2 year old daughter's passport. Still waiting. Its a single application and pretty straightforward. The wait is becoming quite p...

Any thoughts?
