Re: ILR Application Dilemma - PEO or Post ?

I erroneously declared less dividends for 12-13 year but returns were filed in time.Note income declared prior to amends was above £35k threshold Worth mentioning that when you chase HMRC, ask the rep on phone to transfer you to their "technical" team and speak to someone there as they are...

Re: ILR Application Dilemma - PEO or Post ?

Hi All, Thought I'd give you guys an update on my tax amendment request. I submitted amendment for 2012-13 years via post in first week of Jan 2016, followed up with HMRC till 22nd Jan, each time they gave me ETA of March end 2016. Yesterday received letter from HMRC stating tax amendment was done -...

Re: ILR Application Dilemma - PEO or Post ?

Wouldn't suggest taking a rep with you for PEO if you're confident to explain your case as you know it best.

My question was more around If you discussed your case with a lawyer.

Re: ILR Application Dilemma - PEO or Post ?

no worries mate! you might want to book asap and not end up in a situation where no appointments are left. On other hand, Not trying to be negative but if CW raises concerns then at least you've proven your innocence so no grounds of deception imposed. Remember hard work never goes in vain so be con...

Re: ILR Application Dilemma - PEO or Post ?

All I am getting an appointment for Saturday as well as weekdays. Do you reckon it would be better to apply on a weekday rather than a Saturday at the PEO? Would it make a difference in case the case worker needs to call a few people to verify the details ? Or am I thinking too much... you're right...

Re: ILR Application Dilemma - PEO or Post ?

@AML - thanks mate. I agree your case is different however reason for sharing my case with you was to give you confidence in going for PEO. In my personal opinion and thinking from CW's point of view, you have done everything you could have to rectify your tax issues, and have now got written confir...

Re: ILR through Tier 1 - Please help

Hi OR Thank very much for taking time to respond. Just to add, even though there was a difference of £6k in dividends declared, the total income I declared with a mix of gross dividends, salary and directors allowance was around £43k. Which I think in my view might makes my case strong as I would h...

Re: ILR through Tier 1 - Please help

Re: ILR through Tier 1 - Please help

Thank you Cr001 It's my first PEO and I could be entirely wrong, but I was given the impression by the lawyer that CW clarifies any gaps before making an appointment which doesn't seems like is the case from your response. So I guess your suggestion is to apply by post instead? I've read through lot...

Re: ILR through Tier 1 - Please help

Hi Immigration Gurus, I'm in need of your advice again please. I have resubmitted my SA from 3 years ago as there was some difference in my dividends declared. In any case, even after less dividend declared, my total declared income (dividends + salary) was much above the threshold of £35k. On other...

Re: ILR - Tax return issue

Hi Gringo,

Happy to hear your ILR was approved.

I'm in a similar situation as you are and was wondering if you could give me some advice as you've already been through the process.

I'm relatively new here and don't know if I can contact you through personal message or something?

Many thanks

Re: ILR through Tier 1 - Please help

Hi Casa,

Thank you for your reply.

Would you rather suggest me to send my application by post instead of applying in person so there are chances of a regular case worker to review my application than someone with more authority/ experience?

Many thanks
