My relative has indefinite leave to remain in UK. He's applying for British citizenship within a couple of months but he worries that his registration with IVA can affect his application.

Please kindly advise.

We are British residents (we have indefinite leave in UK) for 3 years already and we are applying for British citizenship within 3-4 months. We have passed the English and Life in the UK tests already.

The question is: will this new law affect us? We do not make £35,000 a year.
