If the child was born AFTER you became british then the child is automatically britiah by descent. Apply for a british passport directly ot certificate or entitlment to right of abode on foreign passport which is quicker but more expensive. No need for MN1 registration!! rejection percentages are not published. fees for rejected application is not returned. search ukvi website for timescales for processing for each country. visas are point based, they are not on discretion of anyone. if you have everything in place, they dont get rejected.
