we have now send the signed appeal withdrawl form and apssport to BHC. Does any one have recent experience of how many days it takes BHC to return the passport with visa?

My wife's settlement visa was refused. An appeal was filed in May, enclosing the missing document which was the basis of refusal. My wife has now received a letter from BHC Islamabad asking her to submit her passport via Gerrys/Fedex. They have also asked her to also sign a form (APP 9) to withdraw ...

i think the details are kept at their records more or less permanently. i know a friend who had applied to come to UK as a student 15 years ago and was refused was still on their files (although he had forgotten himself!) i dont know what was the reason for your refusal at both the ECO stage and app...

Brit Chick, thanks its very helpful.....doesnt help in a way when i think of the long undue delay by AIT/BHC though!

can one of the moderators please respond if making a complaint to UKVisas help or mess upthe case even more?

i would send it to both AIT and BHC islamabad with a short letter. It is unlikely that BHC would have started reviewing your appeal papers yet.

please keep me posted when you actually hear from BHC as i am stuck with a long wait after my wife's refusal. AIT has given BHC until end of Oct to reply

these divorce laws/polygmous marriages are very complicated. my personal experience is BHC islamabad looks for excuses in such cases to refuse the visa (happened to me) if i were you i would get advice from one of the solicitors in uk (preferable who deals with pakistani marriages etc) to get it rig...

as long as you include certified copies of decree absolute and nisi ...you should be ok. unfortunately in my case we did not include those and my wife's visa was refused....
