A 10 year ban is exactly that - a ban for 10 years. It doesn’t matter who he is married to.

You won’t be able to qualify for a mortgage on a Graduate visa because that is not a path to citizenship. You’ll have to wait until you’re on the Skilled worker visa.

You have to take out travel insurance for visitors. Using the NHS could negatively affect any future visas if you did not pay for services. Medication being free for over 65’s is only for U.K. taxpayers!

Re: Marriage visitor Visa Brit to albanian

Have you looked into how much the birth will cost you in the U.K., considering that you no longer live here? My daughter in law and son, who are both British, thought the same thing. They also live in Greece because she’s dual citizen of Greece and British. Because they are not habitually resident h...

Re: Can I switch/extend mum’s 6/months visiting visa?

You could ask for an extension, but be very aware that whatever reasons you use can be used in future by case workers to deny future visit visas. The reasons you’re mentioning in your post imply that you’re trying to get your Mother to stay in the U.K. The Adult Relative visa is the most often decli...

The new company needs to add notes into the SMS system. They can change the date on there.

Re: Visitor Visa - NHS cover

NHS does not check people's immigration status before giving treatment. All you need is to go to any NHS surgery and register her for a GP there. A few days later she can obtain treatment. Medical treatment is a basic human right and the are obligated to provide said treatment. That is exactly what...

My 76 year old mother has arrived in UK on 6 month visitor visa and intend to stay for couple of months. Re: Long Term visa/residency for Indian Parents

Unfortunately too many people (including me, btw) don’t look into the rules before immigrating into a new country. Because we didn’t do our homework properly, we can’t then turn around and say that the country is being unfair. You can still do your duties as a son if you move back to your home count...

she is 60+, retired. Even If I create a synthetic income source out of the blue. they'll refer to the previous application and find out that she is retired. right? Retired people still do other stuff for income. Even here in the UK. No one would question that. Are you seriously suggesting the OP li...

I have just invited my cousin for a visit from South Africa, and all I had to supply an invitation letter, and a utility bill. She received the visa in two weeks. Re: Do long-term visitor visa holders have to pay health surcharge? If yes, are they eligible for GP reg & NHS treatment

Quite frankly, it’s offensive to expect the British taxpayers to fund your foreign parents’ healthcare via the NHS. Why would you think it’s ok to do this? My parents are foreign, and when they come to visit me, or go to visit my brother in Australia, they purchase travel insurance. The NHS is speci...

I’m the appointed person for our company, and have just today had a successful application.
We had to pay extra to fast track the application and, even then, the whole process from CoS to decision took 12 weeks.

What is the definition of "diplomatic help"? In my mind certainly, if you are imprisoned, especially where human rights are concerned. However, if you have been robbed of your British passport, cards and cash? Would the embassy just say you are a dual citizen, not our problem? And the unf...

@FXR_1340 - I agree with you 100%! I find it appalling that people choose our beautiful country, live here illegally, then expect to be given a bonus of citizenship! Those of us who chose to come here legally, and contribute to the country, certainly so not agree with this.

Re: NATURALISED BRITISH CITIZEN & DEPORTATION FROM UK

No, the meaning of 'unacceptable behaviour' does not appear to be wide enough. Rolf Harris remains British, and I see no evidence that a normal rapist would be vulnerable to loss of nationality either - unless he had concealed previous offences when applying for naturalisation. Organised gang rape ...
