I called the Work Permits Home Office department (01142074074) and asked them my question. They were unsure so they called the HSMP office on my behalf. They said that allowance on my payslip CAN be included in my gross income, even if they're not taxed. WOOOOHOOOO, one hurdle down... many more to g...

oh and I assuming I can claim my accomodation I plan to submit as evidence:

- 12 months of pay slips
- bank statements that correlate with the pay slips
- a reference letter from my employers that backs up my pay slips

I will NOT be submiting a P60 or a tax return. Will that be ok?

Hi all, I get paid a base salary, just under 27 000. I also get paid an accomodation allowance. With the accomodation allowance I get over 27 000 and therefore qualify for the past earnings points.
