Re: Address Change query

Thanks Pebb1ee,

When you changed your address online using your son's name what proof of address did you submit as all the bills are in my name so what documentary evidence can we produce as addres evidence for a child?

Re: ILR Refused for late ammendments

Hi , I am seeing mix trend , have a friend with tax issues ( 2010/ 11 ) , HMRC informed they can't do it so went straight to PEO croydon and his ILR was approved in 2 hours . I am really confused either he has done the tax returns with HMRC ( 2010/11) or it depends on case to case ... . some one is...

Re: ILR application in 2 Days NEED HELP URGENT!!!

@ tg2016: thanks for the response, does that mean I am doomed for the rejection even though it was a small error. I am not sure if I can cancel the appointment as the lawyer is provided by my current employer. Well your options are: 1) Attend the interview - But even the lawyer cannot help you rega...

Re: ILR application in 2 Days NEED HELP URGENT!!!

Hi All, Thank you for all the responses. More info on my Case- Yes I was a sole trader and not limited company. You are right, there is a £750 short now- for what I claimed and for what the tax was paid. I had to claim £35k for earnings, So I am bit worried. Also I am not sure how this 750 got into...

Re: ILR application in 2 Days NEED HELP URGENT!!!

Hi, can you tell us how much was the earnings band on which you claimed points? If you showed £35000+ in your application and showed less than 35k to hmrc no matter how small the difference is between 35k you have failed to justify your claim of points for that band. Not sure if you can do anything ...

Re: FPN and PCNs

Coincidentally I was exactly in your situation when I applied for ILR in Feb. I had a £100 FPN and 3 points pn my DL for speeding in the motarway. My solicitor went through my case and advised me that since its not a court conviction I need not mention my FPN and points cut. My application was succe...

Re: ILR Tax Issue

Well I cannot understand why your friend didn't even bother to check if the SA has been filed or not and most importantly why he didn't think about paying the tax himself as that is what needs to be done logically. I'm afraid he is now staring a a deep hole now and difficult to get out.

Re: ILR Tax Issue

Hi,

2 questions for you:

1) Why didn't your friend pay the tax himself after the accountant had filed his SA?

2) Didn't your friend not recieve any penalty and interest accrued letters all these years?

Re: Visa status after refusal sec 322

Let me rephrase the questions as no one can predict what the CW "will" do 1. What usually happens to your current visa if refused ILR under 322 for deception (Tax issues)? Unless mentioned in your rejection letter it wouldn't be curtailed. But even then u will be in a catch 22 situation a...

Hi Casa, Well, Noajthan did reply but didn't really answer as he didn't know. Was wondering if anyone else knew more about the matter. Cheers I believe the only question he was unable to answer was number 2 on your list. I concur with his advice. My friend recently had his naturalisation applicatio...

Re: tax mismatch too late now

I had spoken to my solicitor and accountant about this before I applied for my ILR as I had exactly this same issue and was assured that as long as we have paid taxes for the amount on which points have been claimed it wshould be fine. My application for ILR was approved without any questions. NOTE:...

Joint naturalisation and Citizenship at NCS

Hi, I was checking the NCS at my local council website and it said that we can send both naturaliation and british citizenship application forms at the same time. I am thinking about applying for my 21 months old UK born son. Please can someone confirm if the above is possible? Also in the MN1 form ...

Hi,

How to fill parts 1.5 Surname/Family Name and 1.6 Other Names.

For example if the first Name is John Stevens and Family name is Smith then will it be like

1.6 Other Names - John Stevens

Re: Self Employment income?

So you mean to say that you showed UKBA as 14,301 as earnings from self-employment but declared 10,536 to HMRC. Which is clearly in violation of the rules as you have fallen below your earnings threshold.

MN1 Naturalisation for my son

Hi, I and my wife both got our ILR recently. Our son was born in the UK in 2014. 2 months after he was born both my wife and son went to india and returned back after 11 months in July 2015. We did not apply for my son's ILR as he is eligible for BC due to being born in the UK and his earlier T1 dep...

I got my ILR a month back. I paid my corporation tax a month prior to that but didn't pay the penalty and interest incurred as I have sent a letetr of appeal against those charges. As long as your taxes are paid correctly for the earnings threshold you should be fine with regards to self employment...

Re: SLTR-Rejected alleging Deception-Please help

Quick update on my case. I have appealed the HO decision today, it was the last day. I was of the opinion of applying fresh but my barrister told me appealing is better. I have still not heard anything from HMRC, I have not been rejected based on TAX issues but alleging a company that I worked with...
