Re: How can I prove I was physically present here 5 years ag

Thanks everyone, I just had one more question, which I see pops up all the time but I can't find clear answer whatsoever. What counts as my date of application? If I mail my application to the UKVI and it arrive the next day, is that the application date? Or will they potentially take weeks to start...

Re: How can I prove I was physically present here 5 years ag

If you weren't absent, you should be fine. It's all the more difficult for HO to check EEA citizens presence, as passport entry/exit are not routinely logged. When I did a SAR to HO for my travel history, it came back saying they had no records of me leaving or entering the country! If they do doub...

LilyLalilu wrote:According to the HO guidance, the caseworker should give applicants the benefit of the doubt and assume they were not absent unless there is proof to the contrary. Plus you have some supporting evidence, so should be all good!
Awesome! Thank you, are these caseworker guidelines public somewhere?

How can I prove I was physically present here 5 years ago?

I'm just finishing up my AN application, but one of the requirements is to show that you were physically present 5 years ago, i.e. this time in 2011. The only thing I have showing my presence during that time is a letter from my landlord saying I had a valid contract up to the end of the month, whic...

Re: CSI for students before 20 June 2011

I just received my PR on Saturday. I didn't have CSI for my 5 years a student but explained very clearly in my cover letter that I had a yellow registration certificate from when I was a student in 2009. Clearly it worked as I got my PR. So if you had a yellow RC from before 2011 yes, you are exemp...

Re: Application for PR or PR card: form EEA (PR) - UpToDate

Thought I'd share my timeline so far. Romanian national applying for PR. I've been living in the UK for about 8 years, student 2008-2014, working since then. I didn't have CSI or an EHIC, but I had a yellow registration certificate so I argued for it in my cover letter. PR Application sent: 19/03/1...

Re: Permanent Residence Document - landlord references

Good plan. Might as well pop you another question as you're knowledgeable! I'm fairly worried about not getting this PR document in time for potential Brexit. I was planning to submit a citizenship application but then they introduced this PR requirement... do you think we'll be fine/covered under ...

Re: Permanent Residence Document - landlord references

Sounds like you're on right track. Don't forget proof of health insurance (CSI/EHIC) for student years. Sadly I didn't have that, I do however I have a student Residence Certificate from 2009, I'll make a very strong case for being exempt due to transitional arrangements. :) It's my only chance sad...

Re: Permanent Residence Document - landlord references

Hello everyone, Just putting together my application for a permanent residence document. I'm missing a lot of old tenancy agreements (so many years ago!). I managed to get landlord references from all the places however. Do you think they will accept these in lieu of the tenancy agreements? The off...

Thanks so much for all your help, I was horribly stressing out just this morning when I found out about these new requirement, now I feel like I have a grasp of what I need to do and will put together an application and send it out this week!

Re: Does a Registration Certificate bypass the need for CSI?

Thank you, that seems to confirm that probably if I specify in my cover letter that I had a residence certificate and include my Blue Card (which was issued as a replacement for it) I should be able to argue that I fit the requirements! At least it sounds like it. I'm already pretty frazzled that I...

Re: Does a Registration Certificate bypass the need for CSI?

Anyway, I just remember I had a Yellow Registration Certificate issued before 2011 as a student (probably around 2009). Would that be valid to bypass CSI? I eventually went on to exchange it for the blue one. IIRC the yellow one only offered me the ability to work part time. Hmmm, that sounds like ...

Re: Does a Registration Certificate bypass the need for CSI?

Yes, just see if they can issue you with a letter or if you already have one. If not, then all is not lost, you will just need to wait and exercise treaty rights a bit longer until you qualify (frustrating, I know :| ), as soon as you have worked continuously for 5 years for example, you are good t...

Does a Registration Certificate bypass the need for CSI?

Greetings, I'm planning to apply for permanent residence documents. I've been in the UK since 2008 as a student and then working. I had an EHIC card but it certainly lapsed at some point and I've not kept track of it. I've not had any other insurance until recently from work. However, I have a blue ...
