Why cannot your employer send you to UK on Tier 1 ?
When you come to airport, you will be asked that why business Visa on Top if Tier 1 ?I think your latest visa overrides your ealrier visa..So your Tier 1 might get invalid..Wait for other members to reply though

Not paying NI is a trouble..I guess your co. has a tie up of not paying tax only for WP holders..U r not on WP...SO u have to pay NI..Else you will have trouble while extension...
Either enjoy benefits of WP(not paying tax) or Tier 1 (flexible employment),not both.

Well, looks like that ILR would be given after 7 years (not 5 years as it stands today). So every one has to apply for FLR at least twice to reach 7 years..So yes, you can extend you visa n no. of times till you reach ILR

You can apply for FLR n no. of times...Its not documented any where, but i know my friends who have done it...
Initially HSMP was given only for 2 years ,and then ILr was moved to 5 years,so my friends had to apply for FLr twice

Hmm..Please let us know your experience.

They would first take the payment and then check the files?
What if some of the papers are missing/they need additional proof, you have to visit again?

Well, you kep extending your visa(FLR) till you reach ILR..And mind you, you might have to do it 2-3 times as UK might increase the no. of ILR to 8-10 years .So considering that you get extenstion for 2/3 years ,you will have to extend it 4-5 times till you reach ILR(provided UK hasnt changed the ru...

Well,ask your employer for a PROPER pay slips..It should have your NI number,gross sal,tax paid,NI paid,net salary...

While extending your visa,ILR it will be imp. that you have paid tax..Dont rely on your employer..
