Hi Brendan, Sorry for very late reply!. The visa came through at the end of May exactly 6 months after all our paperwork was received in Dublin, we submitted all documents the previous October. The visa office rang me to tell me that her passport was ready for collection at the Embassy in Bangkok, h...

Re: Spouse of Irish Citizen Visa for Thai wife

Hi.

You dont need to go through an agent. If you have all the paperwork just get your gifrlfiend to submit at the embassy in bangkok, It should take about 4 or 5 weeks to come through. As Brendan said you need to tick a few boxes and you will be fine.

Hi, I am an Irish citizen too, living in Dublin. My wife applied last October with the Embassy in Bangkok and we are still waiting, she is currently in Bangkok. I would advise you to have all your paperwork ready as soon as you marry and submit straight away to the embassy in Bangkok. Should take ab...

Re: Spouse of Irish Citizen or Join Spouse?

Yes, seems strange that no result was published on the website, but that doesn't surprise me because their system seems to be all over the place, anyway main thing for you is that you can arrive in Ireland with your family. Just wondering, if your wife only got visa for 3 months does that mean you w...

Re: Spouse of Irish Citizen or Join Spouse?

Thanks for replying Gedk66. Do you mean your visa in the Middle East was only valid until end of May?, just wondering how you got processed so quickly, well done anyway and hopefully ours will be following soon too, seems we submitted around same time as you, but I am in Ireland already and my wife ...

Re: Spouse of Irish Citizen or Join Spouse?

Can you tell me did you have to wait on the ' current processing times' to reach the date that you submitted or did they just process before the date. I am in a situation like that too, submitted in October but processing time is currently another 14 weeks behind.

Spouse of Irish citizen

Hi Just wondering if any Irish citizens have received their 'join family' visa for wife or husband recently?, I am awaiting my wife's visa to be passed and we submitted last October 2015. It seems the process is taking longer than we thought and 'current processing times' are either frozen or move o...
