Do you hold a DCPR? (I believe you said you did in another post but from this post I'm not sure you do) If you mean the pink PR card, yes I do. Issued March 2014 on the basis of evidence going back to 2003-2013, but the casework for this clearly states "unknown" as date PR attained ...
The good news is I got my SAR material back before my NCS appointment. The confusing news is in the documentation behind my pink Swiss EEA PR permit being issued, they put "unknown" for Date PR attained. Hm... I was issued a residence permit as a Swiss / EEA citizen in August 2002 and have...
Ok interestingly I got back my SAR today and they put unknown as date of attaining PR, because when I first got a residence permit Switzerland had just started the Bilateral agreements although I was at the time applying as the spouse of a BC. PR permit was issued on the basis of evidence of exercis...
This is interesting. I hear that many NCS offices are happy to help EEA nationals with checking their actual date of PR with the HO. I did try to book my NCS appointment with my council and a rather rude lady told me she can't book me now as my DCPR issue date is less than a year ago. I tried very ...
Yes, take a bunch of evidence to prove your residency as well as exercising of treaty rights. P60s is just one example of such evidence. Crosscheck with the guidance. OK I have all employment contracts and P60s since 2001 plus rental contracts / utility bills etc for the last few. (Plus a letter of...
As long as they have a phone, they should be able to check the date you obtained PR with the HO :) But should not be necessary anyways, because as you held your DCPR for over 2 years now, it wouldn't actually matter if they went by the date on the document instead of your actual PR date; you'd stil...
Oops just realised I posted this as a reply to myself on another thread a few days ago, no wonder the "thread" had no replies! When I made my NCS appointment I was told I *only* needed a passport as evidence to bring along (alongside the permanent residence permit) as long as it cov...
Hi, When I made my NCS appointment I was told I *only* needed a passport as evidence to bring along (alongside the permanent residence permit) as long as it covers the last 5/6 years. However my passport does not get stamped when I leave or entee the country - Swiss ones haven't since 2001 or therea...
I just noticed he address isn't needed, no the marriage certificate doesn't have DoB just age. I am 99% certain which day it is it's just that either my cousin or my grandma have their birthdays a day either way of him and I always struggled to remember even when we were still married!
While already exercising treaty rights I got married and was married for a few years, until my ex started having serious mood swings, became aggressive etc. and I left eventually. I think he's stable now but I dont particulary want to try and get in touch - I need to declare his details on form AN b...
Hi, Bit late now as I just passed my Life in the UK test but on the application for LITUK you have to put your town of birth, which ends up on your citizenship certificate. Switzerland doesn't use birth certificates and doesn't put birthplace on passports either, instead they use "Place of Orig...
Well done. Which centre did you take the test at? I did it in Cardiff and there were no hotels nearby, I just drove there and did the test, and had a day out in Cardiff city centre before driving home that night. Leeds was the nearest, I figured if I have to be there 8:30 I'd rather get a good nigh...
Had the exam on Saturday morning, stayed in a nearby hotel to avoid being late (£35 a night for a hotel across the road seemed worth it when you pay £150 for an exam!), passed with flying colours.
Have I missed something when signing up that you can only use search on the forums after a certain amount of posts? When not logged in there is a search box in the top right but this disappears when I log in.
Thanks so much, I guess I can understand why they have precautions against impersonation etc but I would hope they don't treat someone unfavourably / with added suspicion because they have, as the HO would like all immigrants to do, adapted well and speak English fluently. I hope I don't get de-meri...
Hi, Thanks for that, my main hobby is swimming but I'm not sure it's something I can find anything worth talking about to be honest! Re culture, modes of transport, that's what I mean, since those are the examiner's conversation topics I'm a bit worried that talking about our local museum may not be...
I'm wondering what kind of topic people have picked for their Trinity exam? The conversation topics include culture, modes of transport etc so does this mean I couldn't choose Big Finish audio dramas (a large range of audio dramas that started out as Doctor Who spin offs etc)? Another topic I am con...
I am Swiss, lived here since 1999 first as a student and then after the bilateral agreements between Switzerland and the EU working here. I applied for my PR card in 2014 after the Swiss voted to curb immigration and endager the bilaterals. I have since moved house twice, both times keeping HMRC and...
