Re: epassport gate for UK ILR holders

Hi secret.simon,

Thanks for your advice, looks like this is still a grey area. I have written to the home office complaints department regarding this issue, hope they will offer some clarification.

epassport gate for UK ILR holders

Hi all, I am a Singaporean passport holder with Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in the UK. I went on holiday in Nov 2019 for 5 days and when I returned to the UK (London Stansted Airport) on 16 Nov 19, I was directed to use the epassport gate by the airport staff. They told me that as a Singaporean...

Re: HSBC bank statements for ILR application not showing latest month's salary

Hi adisays,

Sorry for the late response. I did not encounter any issue with my passport scanned in colour. There were no questions asked, so there's nothing you need to worry about :)

ILR approved

I was granted ILR today! Thanks to all the advice in this forum, I was able to navigate through the application process successfully and avoid the potential pitfalls. I would like to share my experience for the benefit of future ILR applicants. Initial Tier 2 (General) visa issue date: 07/10/2014 On...

HSBC bank statements for ILR application not showing latest month's salary

Hi all, I will be applying for ILR next week and will be providing 3 months of bank statements as supporting documents. My latest salary was credited to my bank account on 28 August 2019, however, the latest bank statement sent to me by post only covers transactions from 18 July 2019 to 17 August 20...

Re: letter from employer

Thank you for your advice. Does the letter need to be dated within one month of the application date or something like that? For example, if my application date is 9 September 2019, is it ok if the letter is dated 22/08/2019?

letter from employer

Hi, I know I have to provide a letter from my employer which states all my absences from the UK and confirmation that I'm still required for the foreseable future. Does this letter needs to be signed by my HR director? Or is it ok if it's signed by any HR personnel (below director level)? My HR dire...

Bank statements

Hi, I understand that I will need to provide 1-3 months of bank statements for ILR application. Do these statements need to be stamped by the bank if these are originals which were sent to my home address by post? Also, the issue date of my first tier 2 general visa is 7 October 2014. With the 28 da...

Old tier 2 brp not returned

Hi all, I will be eligible for ILR next year October and have some questions in mind. I know that to apply for ILR, u need to have tier 2 visa for 5 years. I got my first brp in Oct 2014 and extended it in Oct 2016 for another 3 years. After my extension application, I got a new brp with a new issue...

Re: UKVI asked for further payment

Thanks for your advice. I take it that my application is likely to be granted, after paying the extra fees? UKVI is notoriously known for being stringent even with administrative errors, so I'm hoping they won't refuse my visa on the basis of this issue.

UKVI asked for further payment

Hi all, I received a letter from UKVI with the following message: " Thank you for your application for permission to stay in the UK. Although we would normally decide your application within eight weeks from the date it was submitted, unfortunately this is not going to be possible in your case....

Re: Tier 2 Autumn 2016 changes

My only concern is that if I extend it now, I will have to use the experienced salary rate on my current SOC code, which will be quite high. My employer won't be able to raise my salary to that level just half way through my graduate programme. My only hope now is that the autumn changes will allow ...

Re: Tier 2 Autumn 2016 changes

Thanks for your response. I initially thought that I could still use the new entrant rate as long as my tier 2 leave don't exceed 3 years (including the 2 years I was given) when applying for extension. Looks like this is no longer the case. So does anyone knows if I can switch to another role (and ...

Tier 2 Autumn 2016 changes

Good evening all, I read the written ministerial statement published last week: http://www.parliament.uk/business/publications/written-questions-answers-statements/written-statement/Commons/2016-03-24/HCWS660/. One of the paragraphs mentioned : ''Employers will continue to be able to recruit non-EEA...
