retention of stamp 4 is very hard to get nowaday. I think it is better to utilize from 5 year stamp, if you lose the retwntion case your previous stamp become invalid.

I applied the same dependent parent case, I got temporary stamp 4 in november, 2016. Once you submit the case you are safe. Temporary stamp 4 normal come in permitted family member case but if you donot show any working activity they will not issue it.

i didnot apply EFM but i am in ireland since 2015, never heard ayone get EFM brother dependency visa. Some process as UK, they refused and know no right of appeal. U can come if u like, but know brother dependency is nearly impossible.

i will advice to apply EU treaty in another country not ireland, it is long process here.

one parent case get it november 2016 after 10 month, but on self employed, not on employment. next month i think you will get.

i apply in october still waiting 03/10/2016, temp stamp valid till 03/07/2017.
some people suggest not to travel on temporary stamp any advice. did your temp. stamp expired and still no decision.
