Surinder Singh Pre-settled application

Hi All, Apologies in advance if this has been asked before but I couldn't find the answer by searching the forum. I am a british citizen looking to apply for a SS pre-settled application for my mum after having lived in Spain. I have already received the paper application form by calling the EU reso...

Re: Family Card of Eu Citizen

Lets stress test this situation: Border officer (BO) feels that your mum can’t be allowed entry under the directive as you have a British passport not an EU based on his/her understanding of the directive. You present the following proofs to negate the BO’s argument: 1. Printed regulations from this...

Re: Family Card of Eu Citizen

However, if I try to go to UK with her for a short visit I have a feeling the customs will deny her entrance as I am a British Passport Holder. They may say the rule applies to EU passport holders excluding UK citizens. What is my best option? The main principle established by the SS case is the ri...

Re: Family Card of Eu Citizen

Did your mum get the residency card in Spain as your dependent as a result of you exercising your treaty rights in Spain? If so then the card must state the wording 'Familiar Ciudadano De La Union' which means it is issued in accordance with the Royal decree 240/2007 (article 8.5.) and it should sta...

Re: Surinder Singh or Visitor Visa?

You did not mention if you have ever lived in UK as a resident in the sense of exercising your treaty rights. If you did then you could treat Finland as a country where you are at present exercising your treaty rights and then qualify to apply under SS for a family permit for 6 months as a British c...

Hello all students, Just want to give an update on my case against the college. I took them to court to claim my fees and I won the case including my full refund of tuition fees and legal costs. They brought their solicitor with them and 2 senior faculty members but that wasn't enough to win them th...

Re: Glasgow ILR set(LR) further check

Rang the home office today, what they are saying is once you are required to provide further information, your application becomes a postal application rather that a fast track services. so, max you have to wait for 6 months. They told me the same thing when I rang them. Hope we don't have to wait ...

Re: Continuity Broken 10 years long residency

I appealed out of time on 2 DECEMBER 2013. Letter received on 14 FEBRUARY 2014 about hearing date which is 28 March 2014. You said you appealed out of time and received a letter for hearing. I am assuming your out of time appeal was accepted. However, it depends on the decision letter of the judge ...

Re: ILR PEO deferred Apps - Further checks/Additional docs c

No response yet. I rang home office and they told me that all applications are subject to the standard postal time once you get a further checks letter. I guess I might have to wait 6 months out now before I can contact them for my application. Also were you on appeal? and Would a letter from MP go...

Re: Glasgow ILR set(LR) further check

Well I doubt it's absences tbh, since you had 0 (wow btw, seriously? :? ) It's really a mistery. Were all your T4 sponsors highly trusted or did you have any dodgy ones? If it's the latter for any - then here is the answer as to what it is they are checking. Also it depends upon how old you are. If...

Re: Glasgow ILR set(LR) further check

Haha, got the exact same scenario going on here - was asked for further proof. Except that my country does not hold such data - so unsure as to what I can provide and what the consequences would be if I don't Lol, seems like a trend now. I think I should be expecting a call soon asking me the same ...

Re: Urgent Appointment for ILR and Withdraw Appeal

Also as you are trying to book a PEO appointment you must have your passport with you. If your case is in appeal then I assume your passports would be with UKVI? If you cannot provide them with a passport which means they won't be able to verify your absenteeism from the UK on the day of your appoin...

Re: Urgent Appointment for ILR and Withdraw Appeal

You will receive a notice of withdrawal from court and your 28 days will start from that date on the letter by tribunal. I will suggest not to go for your appointment until you receive that letter from the tribunal. If the judge still hasn't approved your appeal withdrawal then there is a chance you...

Given that I haven't travelled once over the 10 yr period, I did not have to show them my old passports anyway although I did have photocopies of them which they refused to take.
