Re: Spouse visa

This is the one you want to apply for, the supporting documents required are included there. http://inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/Family%20Members%20of%20EU_EEA%20_Swiss%20citizens It's actually a Short Stay visa, but if it's granted you use the 90 days you get to stay to apply under the EU1 form. http:...

Re: Question about address proof for stamp4

When my wife and I visited the immigration officer (we're outside Dublin) last year we weren't asked for any proof of address. He asked us for an address, but he didn't actually ask for proof of it. Chances are you might not be even asked for any proof of address, but your mileage will vary dependin...

Re: Passport Renewal while on Stamp 4

Are you based in Dublin?

With us, due to the fact that we're outside Dublin, I don't know if you need an appointment or not.

Given that everything else is via appointment in the Burgh Quay office, you'll likely need an appointment. Maybe just book one on the basis of renewing the stamp I guess.

Re: proof of residence (2nd attempt)

You also have this declaration to ensure you are honest with the information given in the application. If found otherwise your application stands the risk of being rejected. So be honest and don't assume they don't know you were not resident in the state for certain period even if you are an EU cit...

Re: Irish Naturalisation: Gap in Stamp 4

I already put my dates and it shows I am eligible. Someone told me to include a letter to explain that gap. But I am not sure how I can explain that. Forget about what that someone said - there's no need for any letter to explain the gap. It's under the 6 weeks absense rule and it wasn't even in th...

Re: Naturalisation: Can Irish spouse be a reference?

Having your spouse as your reference does seem obvious that you probably shouldn't do that.

But, how about family members? I'm wondering for when my wife comes to applying for citizenship. I'm thinking of just putting down my sister, brother in-law and maybe one of my parents.

Re: Irish Naturalisation: Gap in Stamp 4

You're fine - there's no issue. From the INIS Website B: Reckonable residence You must show that you built up enough reckonable residence in the State to be granted citizenship, specifically: 1825 or 1826 days of reckonable residence based on your accumulated permission stamps This includes 365 or 3...

Re: Re-entry visa

Sorry for the late reply. You should be okay by February next year I would imagine. Try not to worry too much, the last thing you need is to be worrying about stuff that hasn't happened yet. On that note, I remember asking the Irish embassy in Singapore about how long the spousal visa process would ...

Re: proof of residence (2nd attempt)

To my understanding, the proof of residence should be for the entire period. So if you're using Electricity bills, you'll have one for each month. A bank account statement is one every six months. Revenue documents are typically for a year. A single letter from an employer could cover the entire per...

http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/visas-reentry-emergency If you leave without a re-entry visa or if you do not return within the period shown on your visa, you must apply again for a new long stay or short stay visa from abroad to come back to Ireland. By the way - is there any chance she can get a job here? It might be a long shot, but if she can then, the process of getting her here should much faster.

Re: Irish Visa for my Ecuadorian Partner

The best and fastest way is to visit her in her country a number of times, get married in her country, and then apply for the Join Family (Spouse) visa. You'll have to see how difficult it is for a foreigner to get married in Equador. You'll need to prove your relationship is genuine when you apply ...

Re: Spouse's visa changes after citizenship.

Once you have your new Irish passport in hand (Congratulations on approval btw! :D ), all you have to do is go the GNIB office or local immigration officer depending on where you're living, and you should be able to get her transferred to Stamp 4 straight away whereby she'll be able to work with no ...

Not that I'm aware of.

Only thing you'll need is a Re-Entry visa depending on where you're from.

Re: Partner Irish citizen

Yes you can go directly to the GNIB - Just be aware if you're in Dublin, you'll need an appointment at the Burgh Quay office, and it can take nearly 2 months to get it. If you're outside Dublin, it's much easier, just pay the local immigration officer a visit, it's mostly walk-in. You'll get Stamp 4...

Re: Visa for spouse of Irish citizen

For Spouses of Irish Citizens, the spousal visas are usually quoted as being handled within 6 months. What lucidj is referring to is the permission to remain. That comes after the Visa, the visa is permission to enter the country for a period of up to 90 days, the permission to remain comes after. T...

I realize I'm bumping an old thread here, but I said I would update this in the event somebody else comes searching the forums with the same query. What we did was take my wife's new passport in her married name and her old passport with the Stamp 4 in her maiden name to our local Immigration Office...

Re: Coming back to Ireland after a few months away

Given you don't need a visa to enter Ireland on a Mexican passport, I think if the Stamp 4 is still valid you should be able to just come back and pick up where you left off. Just show the Stamp 4 & GNIB card at the airport and all should be okay. You probably don't even need to re-register with...

If there was permission to remain in the form of another Stamp or a D visa, it's just a case of paying a visit to the local immigration officer with both your passports and marriage certificate. However, because your spouse has no permission, you have to apply to the Department of Justice instead fo...

Re: Changes of stamps- From 4 to 1

Your employer would have to get an employment permit or a critical skills employment permit (if your work area is eligible) for you then you should be able to apply for Stamp 1. Why change the Stamp though? Are you separating for whoever you're dependent upon to get Stamp 4? I would contact a local ...

Re: Properties for rent and Life in Ireland

I work in Limerick. I rented a one-bed apartment on the outskirts of the city in a pretty good location that was about a 10-15 minute drive to work for me. I stayed there for about 6 years up until last year. The price was 450 EUR per month which was the going rate back in 2011. I got lucky in the s...

Just to note: If your girlfriend is Irish, it's regular Stamp 4 you can apply for, you won't get Stamp 4 EUFAM. Re: GNIB Card Stamp4EUFam expired since 2013

How about the stamp in your wife's passport? It it still valid? The GNIB card will just have the same dates as the stamp in passport. If it's expired since 2013 that would mean she has been staying here illegally for 4 years. However if you (as an EU citizen) are still living and working in Ireland ...
