I also want to get Irish passport for him since I have been living in Northern Ireland from 2009. I was reading http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INI...

Hi all My civil partner is going to be ready to apply for Irish citizenship later this year and I've been looking at the form. I have a few questions! 1) Are the passport photos to be added to the application just the same as the Irish passport photos? My own passport pics are black and white. Is t...

Re: Citizenship Irish spouse living in UK

The requirement for citizenship is that you should live on the island of Ireland for 3 years out of the last 5. Must also be 3 years after your marriage. So as you have not lived on the island since 2012 you are not eligible to apply. Also if you are a visa required national and you never got stoppe...

Re: form 11 for irish citizenship

Sorry. I'm not as clued up on minors in Northern Ireland. Following on from my last reply. So your girl is born in Northern Ireland and therefore would not be able to apply as she needs to be born in the Republic of Ireland. Unless your partner is an Irish citizen? However if that was the case she w...

Re: Visiting Irealnd on PR form UK

Hi Buktais, A permanent resident card does not entitle you to travel to Ireland unless it states you can travel with a Union Citizen. This is given under Article 10 of Directive 2004/38/EC. If you contact the Irish embassy in London they will tell you same, and ask to to contact the British Home off...

Re: Applying for Citizenship a month before 3 years of marri

Hi Lolo82, Sorry the scenario you are talking about would result in a rejection. INIS will base your 3 years from the date your application is signed not when they receive it. So if you signed it on 30th October and sent it off you would be rejected as your 1 day out. Also from my experience I alway...
