Re: Cash Savings in Foreign Account for FLR(M)

Thank you Seagul, The funds have been held at required amount for more than 3 years. I have several years of old statements from my U.K bank showing how the money was saved yearly in an ISA as well as U.K bank documents showing the transfer from U.K account to my foreign account. As the balance is a...

Thank you both, yes your assumption is correct, we have over 62.5 k plus extra for currency exchange fluctuations, it's untouched for 6 months. Best of luck with your application.

Spouse Visa - must British sponsor be resident in U.K?

Hi Everyone, I am a British citizen living abroad (non EU country) with my husband. Can I be living abroad at the time of us submitting his spouse visa application? Or must I return to U.K permanently first? We would be applying under cash savings, accommodation at mother's house, she is sole reside...

Re: Settlement Visa from India : Timeline

Hi, This is a question for those who have recently submitted at New Delhi: How did you present your application - did you use a plastic document wallet, ring binder or foolscap paper folders or something else? Or does VFS not permit the use of these? Great news Windtalker, all the best mbist! Thanks

Re: Size/amount of file accepted at Delhi VFS for Spouse Vis

Hi Windtalker,

Thanks a lot for your reply, it's given me some idea. I've also heard from others that if the file is too big Vfs will use two courier bags with the same reference number, so I will be fine. Wishing you a successful outcome.

Re: Size/amount of file accepted at Delhi VFS for Spouse Vis

Hi, thank you for your reply. I'm thinking if the U.S VFS operate a limit other VFSs may have the same rule. In real terms the age gap is 5 years, but on paper e.g birth certificate, passport etc my husbands date of birth is 13 years younger. It can't be corrected as there is no alternate proof. So ...

Size/amount of file accepted at Delhi VFS for Spouse Visa?

Hi everyone, I'm going to submit our application at Delhi in a few weeks and wanted to ask - has anyone submitted a large file, say 3 inches thick of A4 sheets (not including photo copies) at Delhi VFS? Do VFS Delhi have an upper limit as to how large your file can be? Or will they accept the amount...

Re: Spouse Visa - Cash Savings, can I close FD & use it as p

Hi Michali,

Good to hear from you, thanks for replying.

I've read your information in another thread and was really pleased to see you did it via the Fixed Deposits.

May I ask did they use the latest balance you provided or was it the balance six months prior to the application?

Many thanks

Re: Spouse Visa - Cash Savings, can I close FD & use it as p

Hi Casa, Thanks a bunch for your prompt reply, really appreciate it. It doesn't specify any minimum time period, so could I do the closure of the FD and transfer to the instant access account even a week before submitting the online application? I know it would be better to have it in the instant ac...

Hi Wanderer,

Thanks a lot for your reply.

When I close the FD it will be going into a savings account, which has instant access, passbook and monthly statements.
