Expiring passport EUFAM

Hi all I am looking for some advise please The non-eu member native country’s passport is expiring end of February 2021. The person has not been able to travel back to the home country or the UK (nearest home country embassy) because of the pandemic and older age. The embassy in london has stopped a...

Re: Need help to understand the refusal for Irish Study Visa

GHD I don’t know the particulars of your sponsor but simply having funds in the bank sometimes isn’t enough to satisfy INIS. Are the fund lodgements a “one off” for example, from a property sale or are they through regular work/business income from your sponsor? What is the sponsors regular income a...

Re: Need help to understand the refusal for Irish Study Visa

In order to satisfy the VO on an appeal you need to address point by point with irrefutable evidence. Only yourself knows the quality of each document you have provided so giving you advice specifics is very difficult on what kinda documents you can submit without knowing what’s missing etc. The fac...

Ok. Thanks for the clarification. Your original post was not clear The freedom of movement does not apply to your Irish friend since he’s a EU Citizen. Freedom of movement applies to Immediate or Extended family members of EU Citizens. In my view your friend has 3 options Get his spouse to the UK AS...

Exactly what type of visa is the spouse currently in the UK?
You seem to suggest they are married and yet the spouse isn’t exercising the Treaty Rights?

Hi shpirtshqipe Many thanks for your answer, I also however got a similar feedback from some else that once an initial application is failed, any subsequent application goes to the repatriation unit? Is this really true? I will answer No to the question as suggested. I wasnt sure if I was to answer...

Hi Capicorn. The new application will take ages. Any application or letter will go to repatriation unit now. They will not issue any temporary stamp. My new application is pending for 3 years. If you have to stay in Ireland and case in genuine, take the judicial review. Hi Capricorn The answer shou...

Firstly, are your parents dependent on you and will you be able to provide proof of your parents dependency on you over a period of time? Secondly, will you be able to bring them to ireland and apply for the residence card before the end of January assuming Brexit goes ahead? The above are the 2 mos...

Involving your second brother in this process would be dependent on the reasons why you were refused the EUFAM.

Sharing perhaps the main reasons for your refusal will be helpful so other members here may be able to give their opinion and or experiences.

Re: EU citizen and non EU qualifying family member

You don’t need a residence card per se. By 3 months of you being here in Ireland and established yourself with a job, rent, bank, paying taxes, utility bills will qualify you as an “ordinary resident” in Ireland. So by the end of January providing Brexit officially happens you’d have been over 3 mon...

You are doing all the right things to establish yourself but I would suggest you take a second job to show immediate income whilst waiting for your self employment to generate income, tax etc. I would assume minimum wage earnings would be a good starting point. If you’ve been travelling alone to the UK with the EUFAM Stamp and you’re from a visa requiring country originally then you’ve been very lucky indeed. Firstly being able to cross into the UK (unless of course you’re in possession of a valid appropriate visa) and secondly not asked at the Irish borde...

You need to be more specific on the circumstances of refusal than just saying “wrong parts” if you want this forum to provide guidance. For example what was your legal status in Ireland on application for permit and the reasons given on the refusal letter by INIS?

Hi The last reply is the one you should consider the most. As for your PPSN Number don’t worry because the father of your child will be able to register the baby under his name. Given you’re categorically the biological mother, they’ll have no choice but to include your name in the birth certificate...

I think All EUFAM holders of a British Citizen, spouse or dependent(s) are getting these letters. My parent got the same letter through this week. If we are to go by this post we should be ok: https://www.immigrationboards.com/ireland/new-for-eufam-stamp-holders-of-british-citizens-in-case-of-no-dea...
