Re: Spouse visa FLR while sponsor is abroad for work

Good advice. When your wife applies for her next visa extension, the Case Worker will want to see that your relationship is subsisting and that your marital ties remain in the UK. It would help if in addition to proof of contact, you continue to retain utility bills, tenancy or mortgages, bank acco...

Re: Spouse visa FLR while sponsor is abroad for work

Thanks for clarifying. From my personal experience (I worked in Abu Dhabi for 6 months last year as a seconded employee (ie I was paid in the UK but worked in UAE) prior to taking a permanent job here in the UAE as a permanent employee. As you are on secondment and be paid by your existing employer ...

Re: Spouse visa FLR while sponsor is abroad for work

If you are working outside the UK but on secondment surely you will be employed as a UK employee still?

Will your pay be into your UK account from your UK employer or will you have a new employment contract in the new country along and be paid in that currency?

Re: Family life as parent of a birtish child application ref

Is the test against her religious beliefs as you previously stated? This may affect whether the court would grant an order to compel her to undertake one? If the religious belief is based on blood sample I have already given advice on saliva samples but I suggest you need an approved center. If ther...

Re: Family life as parent of a birtish child application ref

Your name on the birth certificate won't be sufficient proof that you are the child's biological father. This is why you are being asked for a DNA test. You haven't answered my question as to whether your ex-partner was married to someone else at the time of the birth. This is an important issue in...

I hav my daugther birth cerficate.and am reisgter as the dad in the birth cerficate.i can prove am the dad wit that. Re: Family life as parent of a birtish child application ref

So are you in the UK and she is in Sierra Leone? Is she living in sierra leone permanently? If she and the baby are in Sierra Leone living, how are you able to apply for a visa as parent (ie she is not in the UK)? Where are you intending to get the court order from (UK or sierra leone)? Under UK law...

Re: Family life as parent of a birtish child application ref

If i get a court order to show am the father will the home office accept the court order Where would you get aa court order from? Re: Family life as parent of a birtish child application ref

Ok, I am now confused? You said she won't do DNA based on religious reasons and then she won't let you collect her? I can understand she won't let you remove the child from the UK but will she let you do the test? If the test is not an issue I can only suggest that you will have to attend the UK und...

Re: Family life as parent of a birtish child application ref

I assume that the refusal for DNA test is based on using a blood sample rather than the actual DNA itself? Have you investigated if there can be a dna test based on hair sample or saliva? I am no expert on this issue, I am just thinking out loud. http://www.homednadirect.co.uk/dna-news/dna-paternity...

Re: Family life as parent of a birtish child application ref

You've waited approximately 30 minutes to get advice??

I know that you want answers but you will have to wait for someone to come online who has knowledge or experience on this issue, assuming someone does.

It may even be that no-one has knowledge of this... give people time to come online.

Re: Considering both earnings

You need to show that you effectively earn the threshold on an annual basis. This however is done by providing payslips and banks statements for the last 6 months. So you need to show that over the 6 months prior to the application that you earnt a total of 9300. In other words the lowest monthly sa...

Re: how to calculate financial requirement?

Non-salaried employment includes that paid at an hourly or other rate (and the number and/or pattern of hours required to be worked may vary) or paid an amount which varies according to the work undertaken. Salaried employment includes that paid at a minimum fixed rate (usually annual) which is usu...

Re: Family of a settled person in UK - Supporting Docs

I think from what I have read you are better off to take screen shots of your chat history over a period of time, submitting the e-mail log alone may get rejected as it's easy to alter an e-mailed log. Remember the ECO is sceptical from the start.

Re: Spouse Visa - must British sponsor be resident in U.K?

You can be resident in another country when you act as a sponsor for your spouse.

I assume your savings have been in an account and untouched for at least 6 months?

I am not very knowledgeable on the savings route as I will be applying for Cat A earnings.
