You can only get married once I think ! If you marry in the UK - registry office for example then your fiencee can apply the next day if you wish for FLR(m) - which will start the (at present 2 year) clock for the ILR journey. But you will have to pay for the fiencee visa and also the FLR(m) visa af...

After ILR . . .

Hi all, Wife recieved her ILR yesterday 5 weeks after applying by post :D Probably a stupid query now - Citizenship is the next obvious step for most I guess. Wife does not want citizenship - she is Indonesian and it is not allowed for her to dual nationality, she would lose a lot of what she has in...

Hi all - long time since my last post and I notice things have moved around a bit ! Quick question . . Well - when we got back we both went to the non UK queue, the girl in front of us got sent to the UK queue.

No problems entering at all, the lady who checked our passports and wifes visa page said it was fine for us both to use this queue as we were travelling together.

I think the 6 month validity rule is also an airline stipulation in most cases, as they get hammered financially if they fly someone to a country who is then refused entry due to less than 6 months on their passport, and they then have to take that person back to the fight originating country. I jus...

Which queue at passport control ??

Probably a silly question, I married my Indonesian wife in May, we (she) got FLR a couple of days later. We are off to Bali to go see her family next week, and arrive back in T3 Heathrow. Do we have to go to seperate queues for passport control or can I join her in the non EU queue or vise versa ? I...

Victoria - can you clarify this a little ? For example ... First 2 year Spouse visa - 9 months was spent out of country, then remainder in UK, so a new Spouse visa is issued due to the absence from UK for so long. I think the OP wanted to know if they had to wait for the end of the 2nd 2 year Spouse...

As far as marrying, I believe you could marry in the CoE without needing a fiance visa I recently married my wife ( from Bali ) in a Church of England service. If I remember correctly - you DO need a Fiancee visa to get married in the C of E, as this was part of the Churches requirement for it to b...
