one of my Friends applied for EEA family member and received confirmation. HO instructed it will take 6 months so not to contact within next 6 months.

Yet it's not clear UK will out from EU or not.
So, have to wait.

If UK out from EU officially then there will no treaty agreement vaild with EU and EU can not give pressure on UK. SO, I think EU people have to pay Non EU fees.

Yes, according to home office policy "Home office will consider date of posted".

For safety keep the post office proof of postage and money receipt. Also print the proof of delivery.

I understand you guys are worried not to receiving the acknowledgement letter.

If payment has been deduct then be relax.

Also check the tracking number and make sure it's deliver. Print the delivery confirmation for your record if something goes wrong then you can use it to protect yourself.
