It was down to geographical location that I had to attend in person, I think the rule of thumb is if you live near the French embassy or consulate, you attend in person. As I live about 10 minutes drive from the embassy, I couldn't really post the application. I can't comment on how long the visa wi...

I wasn't asked for bank statements. However... with regards to your marriage certificate, I had this attes...

Thankfully my wife's settlement visa has been processed and she is in the UK with me now.

The French entry visa/shengen visa application is the next stage, the appointment has been confirmed for early December - one month after I booked it over the telephone.

I tried to make an appointment by the net but the website was conveniently not working so I had to call up and make an appointment. As my wife is from Pakistan, I have to go with her to the embassy to get her visa approved.

So what about my wife's interview, any tips for questions?

My wife's interview with the BHC Islamabad for her settlement visa is next week. I'm assuming that everything will be OK and she will get the visa after her interview but I'm curious as to what questions they can ask her. Do they ask her to confirm details as on her application? Do they probe into a...
