Re: ILR postal applications (excluding 10/14 yr.)

Just received confirmation letters for myself and my girlfriend that we have been granted Indefinite Leave to Remain. We applied on June 21st 2016 under Ancestry. The wait is over!

Re: ILR postal applications (excluding 10/14 yr.)

chelsea_arv, I'm thinking it's a new process where they send those additional grounds letters to anyone applying under Ancestry and it probably started around May/June time. I posted a question on here when it came with our biometric enrolments but had no response. I decided not to send it back sinc...

Re: not receive acknowledgement letter/biometric letter

That link looks very dodgy indeed and I've not heard of anyone receiving text messages from home office. I think if you were illegally here, they wouldn't send you a text. It's quite common for the biometric/acknowledgement letter to take over a month at the moment.

Took over a month to get my biometric letter. Very normal at the moment.

Re: ILR postal applications (excluding 10/14 yr.)

Hi sarah888 and chelsea_arv,

Did you both receive acknowledgement e-mails every month? I've not had a single e-mail after applying in June. Also, did they send you an 'Additional Grounds' response letter?

Cheers,

Nick

Re: ILR postal applications (excluding 10/14 yr.)

sarah888,

We also applied for ILR via Ancestry around the same time (ours were singed for on 21st June). We're still waiting too. The four month mark has just past so hopefully soon. I will update here as soon as it comes since our situations are pretty much the same.

Re: ILR application - statement of Additional grounds.

I've not heard anything yet but my application was only received on 21st June and took a very long time to get the biometric letter so I'm not expecting a response until end of November. My application was a straight forward ancestry application after living here 5 years so if they reject that then ...

Re: ILR application - statement of Additional grounds.

I disagree. An s120 Response form is a response to a 'One Stop Warning' under section 120 (s120). Where on the Home Office site specifically does it state that all applicants are now required to complete a statement of additional grounds?

Re: ILR application - statement of Additional grounds.

Hello members, i applied for my ILR after 6 years of discretionary(3x2), I received a biometric enrolment form today, but attached to the form are 2 pages stating "STATEMENT OF ADDITIONAL GROUNDS" my problem now is i don't have anything else to add other than what i have earlier sent to t...

Re: Biometric letter not received

My visa expired on 1st July. My application for ILR was made 12 days before that. The form I've been sent is just a response letter but I've not been issued anything to respond to. From what I've seen, normally a 'RED.0003 s120 response' form is sent along with other documents or letters but I've ha...

Re: Statement of Additional Grounds

After a lot of searching and trying to find information, I've found that RED.0003 (s120 response) is just that, a response form for proving why you should stay in the UK. It is normally issued with other forms and letters like RED.0001 and RED.0002 and some other letter that gets sent to people that...

Re: Biometric letter not received

I also received my letter dated 27th July. For some reason they also included 'RED.0003 s120 Response' form but no detail at all about why that was included. They have not rejected my application or at least they haven't said that they have so I have no idea why this form has come. I completed my bi...

Statement of Additional Grounds

I finally received the biometric enrolment letter on Friday. Along with the biometric letter there was a 'Statement of Additional Grounds' letter enclosed. Both my partner and I got this letter. I'm wondering if it is sent by default to everybody and do I need to tick the box to say I have no more r...

Re: SET (O) ILR application with Ancestry visa

I'm beginning to wish we had also gone for the extra premium. Not because we need the passports and documents, etc (saving for big holiday as a reward while we wait) but because we still haven't received any acknowledgement at all. My partner is being chased at work for it but my work hasn't asked a...

Re: SET (O) ILR application with Ancestry visa

Hi Chelsea, My partner and I both recently applied for ILR under ancestry category after spending 5 years here in the UK. It seems that it is dependent on how busy things are in general, rather than what category of SET (O) you've applied under. Our applications were received 3 weeks ago today but w...

Re: Haven't received UKBA acknowledgement letter after 2 wee

Seems there is a long delay in acknowledgement at the moment. A few recent threads here on this topic from different people. I applied on 20th and application received on 21st. No one here on these boards will know what's going on, unless they work there. In that case they probably aren't supposed t...

Re: Biometric letter not received

@mickey1112 - No one can really help here with this query. Seems acknowledgement letters are not being received by a number of people. I'm guessing the home office is very busy at the moment. Unless someone here works in that particular office, they don't know.

Re: Biometric letter not received

Mate, if they have taken your money then your application should be considered as being processed. I guess different employers take a different stance on this as the rules are not well known or communicated. On the Home Office site, there is no mention of needing to show your employer that your appl...
