Is 12 months maternity leave a problem please (8 months paid SMP and 3 unpaid)? I have had 2 babies in the last 4 years. Came back to work after both leaves. Thanks

How does my maternity leave (receiving maternity pay from company I am employed by) affect the worker status please? Obviously taking into account the statutory maternity pay and how low it is?
