Re: Passport delay / Dual Citizenship

Thanks for your reply, Indguru90 I finally got it today, 49 days after my ceremony. Ir was really frustrating... I had to call, email, etc, and finally complain. It was surprising (or maybe not?) how quickly it was printed once the formal complaint was nearly there. Anyway, I'd like to know what hap...

Re: Passport delay / Dual Citizenship

My citizenship ceremony was nearly six weeks ago but I am still waiting for my passport (NCS/JCAP application). Have contacted Council (confirmed HO notified on the same day, so nearly six weeks ago) and HMPO (thrice, they just say the application is in their systems but have not answered any of my ...

Re: Delays in getting UK passport

Sorry, I cannot help! I have the same problem. Ceremony on the 22nd (June) and still waiting. Nothing, not even a text message (never got any from the Passport Office). I have contacted the Council (confirmed HO notified June 22nd) and Passport Office (just said my application is "in the system...

Passport delay / Dual Citizenship

Hi guys, I had my citizenship ceremony three weeks ago but still have not received my passport. I have not even received any text messages, not even when they charged the passport fee back in March... I contacted HMPO last week via the online form and got a quick reply, but they simply confirmed my ...

Re: Supporting documents

Thanks, CR001.
I just do not understand why the officer was so insistent in just sending a few documents, covering the last qualifying years; I would have sent everything!

Supporting documents

Quick question about supporting documents... I applied last week via NCS/JCAP; went to the appointment with literally tonnes of documents covering my nearly 13 years' employment in the UK (including NI records, SA302, communications with HMRC, etc.), as per page 7 of the AN Guide (#1.48-1.50) and to...

Re: Naturalisation and gardening leave

Proof of NI contributions... For all the years I have lived and worked in the UK? Is there any document showing that ( I seem to remember there is one NI document in Spain showing all the periods you have been paying NI, maybe something similar or SAR-type)? Or should I need to send them a ton of do...

Re: Naturalisation and gardening leave

Not problem. After you have PR you can do what you like as long as you are not absent from the UK for too long. Employment is not a requirement for naturalisation. So in the form I just can say I am employed by xxx but I am currently on gardening leave and will start employment at zzz on this date....

Naturalisation and gardening leave

Hi, New here, wondering if someone can help me with this. Spanish, working in the City, living here for 12 years, have DCPR and can apply for British citizenship in a couple of week's time. I have been offered a new, better job, but this means I would be on gardening leave for 6 months and then have...
