The way I read it is - Refusal of leave to remain, variation of leave to enter or remain or curtailment of leave - This is for both Tier 1 and ILR (as ILR is also a leave to remain) within this section 1C is only for applicable for applicants seeking ILR. If you look thru the document, this is the o...

Yeah. This is what I have been reading. I think this is only for ILR applicants. Doesn't it say so? Why do you think it is for T1G?

Hi, Can you post your link please. As per the below link, general grounds of refusal for wrt criminal matters are only in case of ILR and not T1 - http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/policyandlaw/immigrationlaw/immigrationrules/part9/ (1C) where the person is seeking indefinite leave to enter or remai...

Your Home Office or UK Border Agency reference numbers

Hi, I am filling up my T1G ext form due soon. My last ext was at a PEO. I received the letter - Our Ref: PEO Your Ref: (Blank) So what should be the answer to question B10? Your Home Office or UK Border Agency reference number(s) (if known). BTW: My ext letter had a unique number (BRP no) and a case...

Ok. The general objective is that the applicant must have enough funds to be supported. I read it as - If you have been in the Uk long enough then you would need £533 to support the dependent. and if you haven't been in the uk long enough then you need £1600 be to support the dependent. Now the long...

Your bank stmts for maintenance funds have to be dated not more than one month from the date you apply.

In case you have submitted bank stmts date a month before the application date then it would be refused.

Reapply again :-( with latest bank stmts.

That may not be always possible depending on when they are eligible for ILR and when they apply, a second extension may be required Right. So you would require one more ext but you do not have to wait for 5 years again. I think once you are back, you should post all your dates again and we will be ...

It will be 5 more years from the date you enter again Not completely true. You can be out of the country for 180/year. You can split your year such that you are NOT out of the country for more than 180/year. Refer to page 9/18 - http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/policyandlaw/m...

So the area of difference here is that you consider yourself as a salaried employee (rightly) and the ukba considers you as a self employed person. So the idea is to prove yourself as a salaried employee. I remember there was a thread where in a similar case the ukba was forced to accept (thru hmrc)...

Hi longshift, navcomps I guess ull have a difference of opinion. It would be useful to know the correct rule here. Coz if I would get a 3 year 2nd ext then I would rather apply before this new fee hike. My initial app T1G application was made in May 2008. Followed by a 2 year ext in May 2011. Thanks...

Hi ram80, We really appreciate your effort. I am about to write to my MP.
Would you have a modified letter taking into account the new fee increase as well?

ram80, what is your view about filing a litigation about the fee increase?

however you would only have a window of 2 days to make an in-time application Thanks cs95tdg. So I take it that I can make an ILR application even if my visa is falling short of the 5 years residency. So I can avoid a 3rd ext. Great! as you have not given any information about your breaks in reside...

Its not normal. Its not your job to get the fees deducted. Its their incompetency.

Its up to you to either -
- Call them and point this out to them OR
- Do nothing.

Hi dreamer645/all, Just to confirm. My wifes mother is visiting her daughter in the UK. The visa status of my wife is "Tier1 General dependant" (with full time employment). So I guess she would not be termed as "permanently settled" right? and she would need to fill in a VAF1A (G...
