Re: Can UK spouse live in one EU country and work in another?

Thanks. He is exploring the Swedish payroll issue, but it is good to know that going down the self-employed route might be another option. I'll tell him to give Skatteverket a ring to talk to them as well.

Can UK spouse live in one EU country and work in another?

I am struggling to find a clear answer on our slightly complex situation. Background: I am a dual EU-UK citizen, my husband is British. We have moved to Sweden for my work a few months ago. My husband has established his right of residence here through me (i.e. as the spouse of an EU citizen). He ha...

Re: British Citizenship - New Online Application

I am about to make an online application in a couple of weeks and use NDRS for my documents . Could anyone confirm the letter for biometrics is generated at the time of submitting the online application? I have been looking at time scales and it seems that the biometric letter is the same day... Co...

Re: EEA PR as 'qualified person' (worker) with jobseeking ga

I had a gap of a few months while I was a job seeker, and never registered with the Job Centre. I sent printed emails and copies of application forms (approximately 1-2 for each month that I was searching for work) to show I was looking for work. I had my PR application approved. I am not sure if th...

Re: Citizenship through spouse or alone?

In your case, it sounds like you've already had ILR for a year, so waiting to apply as the spouse of a UK citizen would mean delaying your application. Personally, I would apply under the category that allows me to do it sooner, but if you're not in a rush, even that doesn't matter very much. Thank...

Re: Citizenship through spouse or alone?

Thanks for all your responses. CR001: It is helpful to know there is no difference in the end result. I don't think there has been any year in the last 6 or so where I have been absent for more than 90 days. Any absences have been fairly short (no more than 3 weeks) so it should be easy enough to fi...

Citizenship through spouse or alone?

Hi all, I'm an EU citizen and have recently obtained my DCPR, and now want to apply for citizenship (the letter accompanying my DCPR says that PR was achieved in Spring 2016, so I can go ahead and apply for citizenship). My British partner and I are, however, getting married soon, so as I see it, I ...

Unfortunately you can't. You may receive a Confirmation of Application email (although some don't). Apart from that, you just have to wait until you receive the Registration Certificate.

Consequences of DCPR rejection?

I have received some very helpful advice on here before and as a result have applied for and received my registration certificate (EU citizen). I am now contemplating whether to go ahead and apply for DCPR. The issue is that I am slightly doubtful that my evidence is good enough. Should I apply for ...

EEA(QP) worker or student?

I have previously posted a couple of questions here about obtaining applying for PR. For a number of reasons I'm not completely sure that I qualify yet, so, I thought it would make sense to apply for EEA(QP) now, to give me more time to compile all the evidence needed for a PR application. I'm a pos...

Thanks for your patient and thorough response - much appreciated. I'm in a slightly similar situation (Dutch national with a British p...

CSI - A&E/GP excluded?

Like many others I never realised there was a requirement to have CSI when a student/self-sufficient. Now that I am aware of this, I decided to pay for private health insurance as I no longer qualify for an EHIC from my home country. I've taken out a comprehensive policy, and received the policy doc...

PRC application 12 month absence for study

Like many others I have begun to consider applying for a PRC in light of the recent referendum. I think my most likely qualifying period would be 2007-2012, as I was a student for the first four years (with health insurance/EHIC in place) and worked full time during the 5th year. Summary timeline: S...
