Re: JCAP - passport after ceremony

Hi, It’s more than 20 days and I have not received passport. I called passport office and they confirmed that they have not received any update from home office. I called council to check that if they have confirmed back to home office after the ceremony I took on 17th Oct and council confirmed tha...

Re: Continued delays with Passport (JCAP) - Please help

Finally, have Passports, many thanks to this forum for all the inputs. Basically, the delay in my case was that UKVI had not received the initial notification of ceremony attendance (for some reason) and hence the council had to re-notify UKVI and once that happened, I had to give it a couple of day...

Re: Passport not received after JCAP Ceremony

Hi, I am in the same boat, attended the ceremony on the 20th and no Passports yet. HMPO is waiting on confirmation of attendance from HO. I called the council earlier this week and when they checked with UKVI, apparently UKVI had not received the original notification from them, so they had to re-se...

Continued delays with Passport (JCAP) - Please help

Hi, I attended a private citizenship ceremony on the 20th of November (been over 16 days now, 13 working days) but no sight of Passport. I called the Passport Office umpteen times but I am told that they are waiting to hear from HO on confirmation of ceremony attendance. I spoke to the council earli...

Re: HMPO didn’t receive confirmation from HO

Hi My private citizenship ceremony done in 21/11/2017 and until now the HMPO didn’t receive confirmation from Home Office. I called Leeds council yesterday and they said they sent a confirmation straight after the ceremony. And they sent it again after I called them. But HMPO still didn’t receive a...

Re: JCAP - Passport timelines after Ceremony

Thanks, mrgs1. I am aware that they say it's 20 working days but: 1. It's the 9th working day today and not sure how long HMPO will take post notification, so kind of worried about being able to travel in time (mid December) 2. Generally frustrating that despite attending a private ceremony and fast...

JCAP - Passport timelines after Ceremony

Hi, I had my private ceremony on the 20th of November and as of this evening (10 days from the Ceremony), the Passport Office hadn't received any acknowledgement from the HO on my ceremony attendance and hence has not yet started working on the application. They advised that I contact HO to send the...

Re: How long does it take for Passport to arrive after Citizenship ceremony?

Hi, I had my Private Ceremony on the 20th of November and I haven't yet received my Passport. I called the Passport Office and learnt that they haven't yet heard from the Home Office (but Council indicated that they sent the notification right after the Ceremony) which is concerning as I am not sure...

Re: Check the status of your application online - New service

Hi, The status of my application (application date as 17/7) changed to Decided last Monday (6/11) but I still haven't received any post (been 7 working days). I am quite worried if it has been lost in the post as I assume 2nd class mail typically takes 2-3 days max. Any advice on how best to procee...

Re: T1G to ILR - Evidence for initial long absence (5 months

Can someone comment please? As I understand, you can provide a personal letter for absences while unemployed. In my case, I was studying abroad and applying for jobs in the UK, through campus recruitment, and eventually secured a job through that channel. I have email proofs of interviews I attended...

T1G to ILR - Evidence for initial long absence (5 months)

Hello, I am confused regarding the requirement to provide evidence for absences while on Tier 1 General. I had an absence break of about 5 months in the first year, when I was not employed (but studying abroad) but since then, have had only ~40 days absences over the next 4.5 years, when I have been...

T1G to ILR Online Payslips - Is employer letter required?

Hi, I have my appointment in a week and I am confused about the requirements on payslips for earnings evidence. The guidance on previous earnings assessment reads: "These should be original formal payslips showing the employer’s name. Other payslips must be accompanied by a letter from your emp...
