Thai girlfriend due to have our child soon. How do I get her to Ireland long-term?

Hi, I was just wondering what is the best route to attempt to bring my Thai girlfriend to live in Ireland? She is the mother of my soon-to-be-born daughter, who I will make an Irish passport for. We are not married. The information online is confusing. For example, the RES3 Form (http://www.inis.gov...

Re: I don't meet the €40,000 income criterion for D visa

would you not consider moving to northern ireland or the uk that way she will have no problem getting a visa to come live with you under eu law, then you could go down the surinder singh route to bring her back to ireland. i'm in a relationship with a thai woman also but we are not married, i am in...

Re: I don't meet the €40,000 income criterion for D visa

Are you legally married in Thailand. I.e. Did you register the marraige at the Amphur and get a marriage certificate? The 40k earnings over 3 years don't have to be earnings in Ireland, if you were working cash in hand i don't think this would bother inis too much as long as you can show the income...

I don't meet the €40,000 income criterion for D visa

I'm an Irish man married to a Thai woman who is seven years older than me. She's 33, I'm 26. I'd like to get her over to Ireland on a long-stay visa, and I've just gone through the lengthy policy document on Non-EEA national immigration for a long-stay D visa. It's looking bleak for me. The financia...

Re: Will my girlfriend be allowed into Ireland with her visa

Is there something in particular in gf's travel history that raises such doubts? No visa absolutely guarantees entry into a country. But unless gf pops up on border guards radar for some reason, or is acting particularly strangely in the arrivals area, then the chances are the worst she will encoun...

Will my girlfriend be allowed into Ireland with her visa?

Worrying is in my nature, so the answers here will either alleviate my fears or add to them. Either way, I thought I'd ask anyway to get some input, perhaps from people who know more about this stuff than me. Anyway, my girlfriend requires a visa to even travel to Ireland for tourism purposes. I som...

Re: Is it worth trying to make a visa for my Thai girlfriend

You,ll also need to show that either you or her have adequate funds to support her during her stay. Being honest, being out of work when applying may not be good. Hi, Thanks for your reply. Just to confirm -- I won't be out of work at the time of application. I 'm actually going over to see her in ...

Is it worth trying to make a visa for my Thai girlfriend?

Hey everyone, Joined this place for some information because it's hard to find other people in my situation. Anyway, I'm a 25-year-old guy with a Thai girlfriend(she's 32) who I've known for three years. She works as a waitress in a restaurant for a fairly paltry wage, so she's not exactly full of s...
